Oh yeah, forget to mention Link to the Past, I'll definitely be getting it! And I'll try and get Donkey Kong Country at some point as well - so many games to get! :D

I agree with the titles mentioned, but I will also suggest the Disney games; Alladin and Lion King, I would especially recommend them for a "noob" retro gamer as the graphics are very cartoon-like and colourful, they look good. I have them on my Mega Drive and play them from time and have fun even today!

AND if you should be so lucky to find a good ntcs/pal converter I would definitely recommend Chrono Trigger and the Final Fantasy games, if you like RPGs! (but these can be hard to find cheap)

And Lufia II. Awesome game kinda turn based like Final Fantasy but with Zelda: Link To The Tast Type puzzles.
