To me it looks like they have no connectors on their backs,so it is most likely two adaptors linked to act as a converter.I think I would have a proper converter rather than one that looks like it was knocked together in a shed.
Use with caution I say.

Wow. That is one bizzare looking device. Just when you think you've seen everything the SNES comes along and thumbs it's nose at you lol.

Thanks for all the opinions, folks! The more replies I see on this thread the more I wonder why it ever possessed me to a: purchase this in the first and b: actually consider using it. I'm pretty sure I could have jimmied up something safer and more aesthetically pleasing using a coat-hanger and some chewing gum.

Out of interest, what's the most universally compatible adaptor, and what should I be paying for it?

Datel's action replay cart is probaly the best, it's the one I had back in the day. No idea what they go for nowadays.

Sorry for the bump (and Merry Christmas, by the by!), but I just booted up this thing: fingers intact, and it actually works! UK SNES cart in one, Famicom in the other. It's played everything I've thrown at it so far, too.

Pretty impressed it ran a Super FX game. I remember those being tricky back in the day...

Still, keep an eye out for me on the news in the coming days.

Wahey! Looks dodgy as hell but in reality it prob does the same job. After all converters often had a cart popping out of the back or something.

Does it run games at 60 hz?

Sadly no. In fact, I'm not as bothered by that as the I am the fact the picture through RF on my HDTV looks atrocious. RGB lead on the way!

Yeah, you were bang on the money! I would give you a chocolate button over the internet if it was technically possible. :)

I'm pretty sure it's homebrew: I have since seen the single cart version, so the 'sicko in a shed' theory looks to be the most plausible. Still...working like a treat!
