Use to be one of my favorite games in the late 70's early 80's bit like pacman but more fun for me as you could get extra lifes and special credits by spelling out the bonus letters plus there were different vegatables for him to eat

those games were fun

Ladybug is a 1981 Universal game, arriving hot on the heels of Pac-Man from 79/80.

I played it on the colecovision, just couldn't get into it, even though it was an exellent port.

Over at AtariAge there's news about someone who has made a 2600 port.

Info here

Worth an interview in a future Retrogame methinks.

Yeah those games look great, wish they would do an emulator image though, would buy one of those but they may not release it because it would affect sales of the cartridge. Hopefully one day though, great to see new Atari 2600 games coming out though

Heard that machine is very very hard to program for

Ladybug was great. I play it regularly on GP32 and PSP.

Another forgotten gem is City Connection. Sort of like Miner 2049er but with a car. Its on MAME.

I could never get into Ladybug, and as much as I play the Coleco version, I just can't get into it on there either. Shame, as I love Pacman so much!

Generally, I would rather play Ladybug than Pacman, the same way I would rather play Mr Do! than Dig Dug. Universal seemed to put more little tweaks and bonuses into their games to keep them interesting.
