Ive gone for Capcom because they made some of my favourite games when I was a kid (Final Fight, Street Fighter 2, Ghosts n Goblins etc) and now im big grown up mister they still make some of my favourite games (Super Street Fighter 4, Bionic Commando, DMC 4)

And also gave a vote for Namco, mainly for Soul Blade and Time Crisis.

Although I do like pretty much all of them on the list.

Capcom and Konami are like BMW and Mercedes: badges of high quality. Capcom in particular never cease to amaze me - they've been responsible for so many incredible games and franchises, consistently for the last 25+ years!

If only I had know this as child when getting games for my NES! Instead I ended up with a lot of awful Acclaim/LJN licensed games based on comics and movies!

I did have Mega Man 2 as a child though, and it was probably my favourite game of all!

Not sure about analogising BMW & Mercedes to Capcom and Konami... current Mercedes rust better than anything else on the market and the less said about BMW the better.

Because Nintendo are included in the choices I had to go for them. Years and years of great games and still they turn out some of the best titles. Second choice was much harder. I could have gone for Treasure - I liked their MD and N64 offerings and Capcom made Commando and I do have a soft gooey spot for that old arcade game but I've chosen Hudson because Bomberman rules!! Plus they seem to have a found a groove with Wiiware :)

Well, that's an easy one for me; Square Enix.

They're owned by Square Enix now, so you could vote for them I guess ;)

Had you of asked me 5 years ago then the answer would of been Sega, now though it's Nintendo. But those two are certainly my all time favourites. 8)

As a Megadrive fanboy back in the day, Sega won the first vote hands down. The second was quite a tricky tossup between all the Neo-Geo titles I love, and all the Capcom titles I love......it had to be Capcom in the end though :)
(And yes...I too was surprised not to see Taito in there...)

There is a little bluring between developer and publisher here. Sony should really be on there for ICO, gran turismo etc

The forums only gave me 10 options to provide.

I have to admit though that I forgot about Taito at first. Sony I had in mind but had to drop them due to said limit. Maybe I should have left out Hudson Soft but then again, Bomberman (and the entire PC Engine library) can't be overlooked.

It really was a tough choice to make.

It's indeed surprising how many votes Treasure got. It is a legendary company no doubt but they don't house as many historic franchises as say, Nintendo or SEGA.

Capcom. Very rarely do they disappoint me.
