Is this going to be a Japanese exclusive?

Unless they update the visuals, I think it's a pointless release that would be much better suited to being a Virtual Console download.

Will probably buy it for the extras though and end up playing it all over again anyway

Yes I am looking forward to it but I voted for updated visuals. My reasoning being that I have never really stopped playing this compilation, so the thought of buying it again for an additional music CD doesn't exactly thrill me. I think it would be wonderful if Nintendo were to include the original games along with a graphical overhaul to give long term fans something to get excited about. I can't see it happening but I really do hope so.

Don't think I'll buy it as I still have the original SNES cart (the one with Super Mario World).

I like the idea of more retro compilations... it's been a while since we've had one on any format! There's still no European release of 'Data East Collection' or 'SNK Arcade Classics 0'.

I'd buy it if they updated it some how, give it a unique Mario twist.

Id also be interested to know if this is a confirmed PAL release, last I heard it had only been confirmed for japan. Im all for it, I just hope they hit the right price point, not full price surely? I suppose I cant really see nintendo putting out a disc with Mario on it for anything less than full price. :(

Being the all stars then surely they should update the visials again.

That was surely the point of the snes version anyway, updating the dated nes versions.

Obviously it could be updated a little more and might appeal to more people that way. Nothing major so as not to change the game, but just something to enhance the visuals.

If I wanted to play the original versions I would,

Right I think I will go dig my snes out for a play now!

Doesn't look like it will be anything new, aside from the book

The poll options didn't really match my opinion, I don't care if there's a new Mario game or not, I simply don't want to see a disk that contains just four updated NES games in this day and age. I loved the original, played it to death back in the day. I've played all four games individually recently enough not to be craving another go so it's no thanks, Nintendo.

Mario Land games, yes! Six Golden Coins without the hideous screen blur that kills you instantly because there was a baddie hiding in it. Make it happen, Nintendo.

Mine is pre ordered. Again, I'm one of the "I'm only buying it for the extras" people. The price isn't too bad either.

This is really something that should be priced at no less than $10. $20 MAX. Even then, you're pushing it. In all honesty, this should've been a Club Nintendo Bonus.
