Bubble Memories

Post by nomad73 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:02 am

Just started playing Bubble Memories - never had the chance to play it in the arcades as a yoof, as it never cropped up in Skegness. Absolutely did Bubble Bobble to death, both in the arcades and with an addicted mate on the speccy conversion.

Playing in macmame (OSX version is the absolute doggies). Very impressed! In fact, it's got to the point where I'm not getting any bloody work done....

Ever played Bubble Symphony on MAME then?
I find it even better than 'memories'. Better graphics and sound; feels more 'complete' to me.
(I don't like the 'cheap photo' backgrounds in 'memories')

Have to admit, the backgrounds were/are a bit wanky.

Can't seem to get hold of a working rom for Symphony, I'll post my verdict if it ever happens :)

Look for Bubble Bobble 2 (bublbob2), I think that is Bubble Symphony in all but name.
