What was the very first console you had?

Hello everybody!! :D I'd like to kick off this forum by discussing about your very first games console.

For me, the very first console that I played that time was the Atari 2600. I particularly enjoyed cruisin' through games such as Asteriods, Centipede, Dodge' Em, Adventures, Pitfall, Pac-Man Jr. and surprisely Pele Soccer! :o

I'm glad to see this console being brought back on the retail shops. It just comes with a joystick with an AV input lead plus classic games compressed in it. :o Although it's been kept quiet since the arrival of new technology in the 21st century, it's worth looking back at it. :)

My first console was the Phillips G7000 Videopac. Used to love the pool game it had.

First computer was ZX81.

My first console was some TV sports plugin thing. I guess it would have been around 1981.

Thankfully my dad bought a Spectrum 48K shortly after they came out in 1982.

I didn't get another console until the SNES, around 1991/1992.

My first console... ugh not entirely sure what it was... a Grandstand or something like that? The controllers where like dimmer light switches and it was basically pong with slight variations, but at the time I thought it rocked! :D

First computer was the fated Dragon32. Despite having only a handful of games for it due to the company going bust, (I ended up buying every games code book I could find just to bump up the collection :)), I loved that machine until some swine pinched it while we where on holiday

First computer I had access to at home was my dad's Dragon32, First one that was mine was the spectrum, which I got the day after my mom and dad seperated as a bit of a sweetner.

The first console I owned was the Sega Master System, I was quite happy with my speccy up till that point.

When I was very young my big brother had an Atari 2600. He had games like Pitfall, Pac-man and Space Invaders. So I started playing video games when I was about 3 years old or so.

The first console I actually owned was a Mega Drive, which I got for Xmas in '92. Spent the entire day playing Sonic (inbetween eating, of course :D)

First played was the 2600, my cousin had Moon Patrol, The Smurfs and Combat. Many's an afternoon we played it after school, it was great. My brother got a speccy soon after, and I'll not go into lists, but lots of games were played on tha. The first console I ever owned myself was a Master System, the first version with Hang-On and that secret snail maze game built in.

The Master System back them was my favourite console. I usually play with my brothers when a two player options are available. The titles they had were awsome and I'm still familiar with it :o

I do remember owning a Pong system (may have been an Atari model)

Then it was the Speccy which was my brother's. The first console I owned was the Megadrive and then the Mega CD

Embarrassed as I am, my first console was a Playstation as up until I owned a console, i always thought that having a computer added an extra dimension to a machine that just played games. I have since learned that being able to program in basic on a bbc is vastly overrated!!!!!

ZX81
BBC Micro B
Amiga 500
Amiga 1200
PSX
PS2
started collecting after that so most popular uk consoles . Am making up for lost time

The first console I remember being in our house was a grandstand TV game (it was a bit crap). I was completely blown away by the Phillips G7000 Videopac that my parents had borrowed from friends for a weekend - they sat up all night playing cards on it (the nutters).. Who on earth would sit up all night and play video games on a TV?...

Officially a crap gamer - but one that works for SEGA

cool parents. I think I got my parents to play on one of my Game and Watches once. As far as they were concerned Computers were an educational tool and consoles were a waste of money.
