I'm gonna have to buy this, full HD 1080p goodness. Only problem is I have too many bloody games to play atm.

I plan on giving it a playthrough over the summer and unlike the first game I don't know this one like the back of my hand so I should find it fun.

I've downloaded it but have yet to play it properly. Haven't ever played the original before, so should be fun :)

Does it still underscan horrendously like the first version on Xbox360? (i.e You get black borders rather than a full frame 1080p image)

I played the remake of the original game, but found myself flipping into 'retro' mode almost all the time. For that reason, I think I'll stick with playing the original via SCUMMVM.

I applaud the attempts to make these games appeal to a new audience, but for me half the appeal is in the nostalgia value of the original graphics and sound.

It's a lot bigger than #1, personally I reckon it's the best game in the series, but really it's all down to personal taste, also if and when you do complete it.... don't even try to make sense of the ending

I never thought I'd say this, but Monkey Island 2: Special Edition is actually better than the original Monkey Island 2 (despite lacking a proper iMuse system) and, thus, the best adventure game ever. Oh, and I'm actually referring to the PC version of the thing.
