Went out this morning and picked up the following:

Sonic R - Saturn - £1
Sonic Jam - Saturn - £1
Dreamcast Official steering wheel - £3
Warioland - Gameboy - £1
Ms Pac Man - Megadrive - £1.50

First thing I saw was a loose Mega CD 1 with leads & 6 games for £20 ONO. Thought about it but it would have wiped me out of cash. Went back 20mins later to offer £15 and it had gone.. ah well :)

Nothing to do with retro gaming, but I got a decent full set of golf clubs (with bag and covers) for £12.50 :D

Another idiot trying to get £35 for a standard gameboy advance  There was a loose Saturn but I already have one of those. Other than that it was a bit crap.

After weeks of absolutely nothing, I hit the mother lode yesterday.

Mario Bros handheld £1
Streets of Rage and Thunder Force 4 £2
Powerstone and Soul Calibur (DC) £2

Boxed VIC-20 with boxed tape drive, games (including The Perils of Willy), all for £6 (I'm very happy about this as it was my first ever computer and tis taken me a while to find it. Plus, the guy called me back saying that he had found the power supply and the memory cartidges).

IO and Bruce Lee (C64) 40p
Monkey Island Bounty Pack (boxed+manual) 70p
Star Wars X-Wing Collectors series(boxed+manual) 70p
Beneath a Steel Sky (PC floppy,boxed+manual) 50p

Very happy with this find but like I said, its been completely dry for weeks. It just goes to show that if you're patient and have a decent boot sale to trawl, you will eventually find what you're looking for.

Thanks. I was planning of selling it on/swopping for something else since I already have MI 1+2 for Amiga and PC but I've since discovered that its worth a bit more than 70p so I'll hang onto it for a while.

I was tempted by an Imac - 500mhz G3, 128 mb of RAM for £70, but I couldn't really justify the cost (what if it doesn't work!) Though that would have been worth it.

Someone wanted £45 for a Dreamcast with Chu Chu Rocket, Virtua fighter 3 and Crazy Taxi! I also saw another Dreamcast sat in a pool of water! I passed on both of those!

A great haul, but I'm curious as to how it cost £4.70. Seems an odd amount! Did you beat the chap down from a fiver? :)

bit bleak with the weather but the weekend brough -

an atari plug n play for £2 (boxed)

pacman world on ps1 for 50p

and a 3do machine with quite a few games but paid £35 for that.

Also missed a boxed atari 2600 woodgrain with about 12 loose carts , she wanted £25 and wouldnt budge , i went back later and she was packing it away so i offered £20 and she still wouldnt sell it.
