That is ridiculous! I guess the seller had never heard of either having a console modded or about the invention of foreign converters. :?

I wonder if you have to blow the dust away internally as well as along the contacts?

 ...as far as getting around region-locking goes, that's pretty extreme.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

That's a lot of plastic he's hunked away! It would be easier to open up the console and hack away at the damn cart opening....or just leave the case off and play the game wearing marigolds.

The most surprising thing is that he still thinks he can get a fiver for it.
I would be genuinely interested to meet this guy.

It's a work of art if nothing else. Would probably look interesting in a museum.

My thoughts exactly. A naked flame, a butter knife and a couple of minutes worth of gentle gouging and you could play ANY cartridge on your PAL MD. I mean, that Moonwalker cart must've been clamped in a vice and sawn down both sides - bizarre!

I read on one forum once about somebody who had a Sega 32X game and then cut the sides of the cart so it would fit into their Mega Drive.

lol very funny. Chances are they didn't want to mess up their Mega Drive so shaved the cart instead.

I genuinely believe the seller cut those slots into it so he could have sex with it.
The condition should be set to "Soggy"

You can just see that poor fool chopping away at it...
Heh, I'm sure he's counting on MJ nostalgia (being the aniversary of his death and all) to drive this sale. No one would want this for collectable/playable purposes otherwise.... Unless you were collecting chopped up plastic.

I always used to just take the two screws out of the back of the Jap carts and plug in the ROM directly.

Okay, you punched a little hole through the sticker, but it was certainly better than cutting the sides off
