I can upgrade very soon now and am really tempted by it. I have read the mostly positive reviews but some feedback on here would be nice too.
I think i'm going with an Arc S too - had a play in a shop with one and thought it was prettty good - certainly better value than an iphone4S

Are there any good twitter feeds for android gaming?
I attempted that the other day, the best i got was a non working one in a carphone warehouse! Looks real nice though, how was it for ease of use?

As for the twitter feeds, I dont do twitter so wouldnt have a scooby doo. Sorry.

^ as far as ease of use went, it seemed pretty good - very slightly less slick than the iPhone admittedly, but more than adequate. The display was also very good, if again just a little less crisp than than the apple - but I'm talking a small difference.

I really wanted to try the camera, but didn't get a chance. Web browsing seemed good - but I think that was helped by good wifi in the phone shop. The brochure showed a nice silver one - would like to get one of those if possible.

Pound for pound, it's defo my next phone

Got it today. And this post is from it. At first I thought wtf, this is a mare to use compared to the iphone. Now I'm well used to it. Great phone, very impressive.

The Arc S? Went to get mine yesterday, only to find the store out of stock despite phoning ahead to check  - will probably get one at the weekend if I have time.

Downloaded two Gameloft titles yesterday - Brothers In Arms 2 and Assassin's Creed. BiA is very good and by some margin the best FPS I've played on Android (not hard given that the only other one I've played was the terrifyingly awful Duke Nukem 3D) with controls that sort of work (unusual in a touchscreen game). Assassin's Creed on the other hand is horrible. Badly drawn 2D sprites lurch across a jerkily scrolling landscape occasionally responding to button presses in something that looks like it's being played on a Motorola RAZR in 2005. Where is the conversion of the DS game that iOS users got? Why have Ubisoft allowed the same people to do the Android version of Revelations (which appears to be basically the same)? How was the same developer responsible for both BiA and AC when the gulf in quality is so vast? And worst of all why did AC have to be paid for while BiA was free?

That was the first time I've asked for a refund for an Android game except in cases where they didn't work on my handset.

OK, I'm ploughing a bit of a lone furrow here (especially now TL's done one).

Another game well worth having for cuteness alone is Sneezies, especially good as it's free.

I wonder what the reason is that nobody's posting Android App recommendations in the same volume that iPhone recommendations are being posted? Maybe it's the question mark in the thread's title!
