Pick 1 game to play forever
If there was only 1 game (no compilations but online allowed) you could play for the rest of life, what would it be and why?
Mine would be Civ 4 (PC) simply for the depth of the gameplay, the length and competiveness of each game, every playthrough is never the same, and as a multiplayer experience strategies, tactics, diplomacies, teamwork and betrayal's never gets boring and teaches us alot about being human.

Street Fighter III Third Strike - because it's the most fun, balanced fighting game you'll ever find.

Diablo 2. My two runners up would be The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Puyo Puyo 2.

It would have to be a football management game. If it was the only game I was ever allowed to ever play ever it would be one of the more modern complicated ones that you have to spend about 10 hours on before you've even played the first game of the season.

Right at this moment I'd be inclined to say Super Street Fighter 4. I could probably spend a lifetime just playing the online mode trying to get better at the game and never get bored of it.

The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall. The best open-ended RPG ever! netHack would be a close second.
The 16-bit era was heaven. But, oh no, 16-bit just wasn't good enough for you, was it? WAS IT?

Id say Darksiders. I have never played a game with a story like it. I love it. If someone said, sit and play it through from start to finish in one go and then do it again, and again, id be in heaven.
Mind you, the screen tearing is a pain in the arse so id switch to the PS3 version.

Haven't played The King of Fighters XI then yet clearlyspeedlolita wrote:Street Fighter III Third Strike - because it's the most fun, balanced fighting game you'll ever find.

Hmm.... Anyway, I'd probably go with a Pokemon game or one of Nippon Ichi's finest, for sheer longevity of content.
Pro Evo 5, the afforementioned SNK masterpiece would be close as well....
I'd probably go with the latest Pokemon I think

I'm proper scared to play that, after my little Peggle addiction I acquired a few months back.
I think I'm over it now
