Because the bad guys already got dibs on the green costumes and ninjas never wear yellow, natch.
Or something about blue and red being traditional player 1/player 2 colours in arcade games.
But hey, it could've been worse.

The Amiga version was almost an arcade copy. I liked the way it block loaded like SWIV as you played so they could add more detail in it. The backgrounds were cool. DJ Boy must have been the Roger Sanchez of the future!!

The Cab in our local arcade had three screens but it didnt have the in-built seats and the screen itself was set in a very high position from the floor. So high in fact in order to play it I had to stand on my tip toes at the time! Good game though, if a little repetitive.

All these taito games were on Weston Pier at one point not long after they came out 'Stand Up cabs'

Ninja warriors, I liked it If Iam honest. Graphics were good and detailed

What is repetitive and dull could still be a delight to some especially with some freaky odd shaped cabinets. Always a nice change from Xybots, Vindicators and P.O.W as well

That was the most god-awful movie I have ever seen. yes, it even beats all the B-movies I've subjected myself to over the years!
That really was astonishingly awful. It's actually even worse than watching extremely low-budget Bollywood knock-offs of hollywood films!

I simply HAVE to track down the full version of Full Metal Ninja. It's shockingly bad!

Ah! Very nicely spotted! You are correct- Buggy Boy and TX-1 also used multiple screens, as well as Warzaid (Konami lightgun shooter with 2 screens), Driver's Eyes (Namco racer with 3 screens) and probably more I've forgotten. I made the mistake of specifically thinking of the Taito games that used that system.
Ferrari F-355 maybe & Virtua racing & Continental circus?

If i remember right, I played Ninja Warriors on the Amiga. It had a widescreen aspect, and I think if you put a <cough> cheat in for infinite energy, your Warrior would gradually lose all the coverings on their limbs to reveal a terminator style robot!

If im right, then I loved this game!

I actually played a bit of the PC Engine version of this game today (Magic Engine) and have to say I was very surprised at its gameplay. It's the best version I've played unless I've somehow forgot how the arcade version plays. But it was quite good actually.

You are indeed correct, sir. I still have the Amiga version and played it like mad with said cheat. If I'm honest, I loved this game, and still do. Hard, but bloody good.

I can remember taking a portable cassette recorder to my local arcade just to record the music from my favourite games!!!

You could always relive them again with M1, but then you already knew that! :)

I was impressed with it enough in a shop in London (and seeing Side Arms) that I purchased a PC Engine. It's not a bad version per se, but the Amiga version was better.

Still, it encouraged me to get a PC Engine, so it's not all bad.
