:D Loved this game! Played C64 version 1st(batman tad on on the podgy side), then moved on ST version, Ohhh those superb driving/Batwing sequences.Remember seeing it being promoted in store in WH smiths i think it was, looked amazing. Also seem to recal the cheat mode flipped screen upside down to prove it had worked or something. But anywho, Best Batman driving bits until the mighty Mega CD Batman Returns 3D sections.

The Speccy version is one of my favourite games of all time, and the 128K music is excellent....every bit as good an atmospheric as Danny Elfman's soundtrack for the movie in fact. I still often play it nowadays on ZXDS :)

I actually never had the chance to play the C64 Batman The Movie... I only had Batman The Caped Crusader which I never could figure out how to progress too far. Sounds like I need to emulate it ASAP. Of course I have a copy of the NES Batman which is based off the movie (supposedly) and is an amazing game!

I had it on the Amstrad CPC... great game, and the music was really good.

The Amiga A500 Batman pack was the first amiga i owned, also came with New Zealand Story.

Fantastic game, loved it to bits, the driving scenes were pretty bloody good better than anything else i had seen on other formats of the time.

Me too, got it from "the home computer club" that was some deal I did with my parents that i'd work around the house so I could get the games..... don't think I did any of that work I promissed :D .... if I recall the big box version came with a nice bat sticker!!. The sound was good through a pair of headphones (like most games sounded better in Stereo) and at the time I could only compare my games to the Speccy version, yeah I had a Speccy too but at that point I was only getting games for the Amstrad so this was the version of Batman I had.
Hi I'm Retromax you may remember me from such songs as "Hantarex Two Five Zero" and "Hantarex Two Five Zero" the remix:)

The Speccy 128k version of this game was AWESOME!
Plus, I distinctly remember being able to actually go and cook my dinner while it was loading. 20 minutes easily!

You young whipper snappers complaining about a "long" 10 second Xbox 360 startup time make me want to laugh.

Only played the Miggy and C64 versions of this game.......and both are AWESOME!

Loved the driving sections on both versions, and how they differed (obviously due to the machine's capabilities)

Hated not being able to have music and sound, but again, that was how it was back then!

I could never get off the first level on the speccy, but could get to the last level on the Amiga version, just about!

Yeah I'm going to be Mr Minority here. I played the Amstrad CPC version a LOT, but the only levels I actually liked were the 2 platform levels. After completing the first level I would use the ED209 cheat to skip right to the last level. The car bit was horrible, I could never figure out the chemicals, though the Batwing was bearable. I normally still skipped it though.

Hey don't forget the cheat on the Amiga version "Jammmmmmmmmmm"! Still quite a fun movie tie in. The platform stuff is tricky. The driving section with Batmobile is my favourite part.

The Batmobile and the Batwing are great sprites on the C64, but the Batman himself is awesome thanks to the use of overlaid sprites. (A technique Ocean programmers seemed to like). What I find interesting is that the horizontal-scrolling style of the driving levels on 8-bit was re-used for the Johnnycab/Bennycab levels on the 16-bit version of Total Recall... almost as if they had them left over from the Batman game once they'd decided to go 3D.
