I take it I'm to late to nominate :cry:

If not I would have voted for;

The Avatar (from the Ultima series) - he saved Britainia more times than I care to remember.

The Wiz from Wizball (nearly picked the cat) - he was cool, not that we got to see him much (only when you filled a colour in).

Bombjack - he can jump really high, defuse bombs, and has a cool cape

I know its a bit late and its not a retro character, but I always thought Garrett from Thief was such a cool character. Excellent voice acting really brought him to life as well.

I'd also want to add the lone space marine from Doom. Never in the world of video games has one hero stood up against so many.

I think we can consider the lone space marine to be oneself. Aren't we all so heroic! :lol: :lol: :lol: Maybe we couldn't feasbily vote for ourselves. :(
