Picked up PS2 Monty Mole, Alone In The Dark and American Chopper 2 Full Throttle, yesterday, for 48p each! Still, Monty Mole is probably a bit overpriced at that, if the rumours of its b*llockness are to be believed, probably true as its a Phoenix game.

I picked up Micro Machines, Project Snowblind, Second Sight and Burnout Revenge as part of the 4 for £10. All very good condition. Really pleased overall, Snowblind in particular is a top game as is Second Sight.

Second Sight is a fantastic game. Loved the powers that you could use (especially invisibility) and the story was top notch.

I like Altered Beast PS2. Enough that I'm going to go back to it and try and make further progress. I wouldn't call it a stinker...Wacky Races Mad Motors IS...but then, that one only cost 48p!

There are some great PS2 RPGs, perhaps the last console to feature real quality from Japan.

Yeah, it's the dream console for JRPG fans. Off the top of my head you have:

.hack series
Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia
Ar Tonelico 2: Melody of Metafalica
Atelier Iris
Atelier Iris 2: The Azoth of Destiny
Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm
Baroque
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter
Crimson Tears
Dark Cloud
Dark Chronicle
Dragon Quest VIII
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy XII
Grandia 2
Grimgrimoire
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts 2
La Pucelle Tactics
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood
Makai Kingdom
Mana Khemia
Odin Sphere
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Shadow Hearts: From the New World
SMT: Digital Devil Saga
SMT: Dogital Devil Saga 2
SMT: Lucifer's Call
SMT: Nocturne
SMT: Persona 3
SMT: Persona 3 FES
SMT: Persona 4
Soul Nomad and the World Eater
Star Ocean III
Stella Deus: Gates of Eternity
Suikoden IV
Suikoden V
Suikoden Tactics
Wild Arms 4
Valkyrie Profile 2
Wild Arms 5

and that's just SOME of the PAL games. There's tons more plus many, many more on the NTSC front. Plenty to look out for Mr. V :D

Heh, good luck finding many of them though. They exist in shops, sure, but most people who have them have them 'cause they enjoy the series, and don';t want to part with them. Plus, many of them are small release (Ar Tonelico II, I'm looking at you!). Though, I found Digital Devil Saga for £2.99 without knowing what it was, so anything could happen!

There are so many PS2 jRPGs that it sort of put me off the genre.

No clue where to start - had no problem with the GameCube as that had so few.

Now that is a long list  Some serious quality in there for sure.

I have about 70 PAL PS2 games, so I'm not short of stuff to play on the system, and I have some very nice role-players on it - I'd love to have some more though. I no Atelier Iris or Ar Tonelico games for it for example. Don't have the time or resources to really get into PS2 again though. I used to really love the system, but its on the hold right now as I make a stab at getting a good little DS collection going while I can. I am going to keep a sneaky look out for PS2 games though, did today but didn't see anything that tickled my fancy sadly....
