Some of my collection, I prefer mostly the japanese Mega Drive games, but some of the US Coverartworks are simply beautiful too ( Turtles, Contra, Task Force Harrier Ex, Gunstar Heroes ) or quite terrible ( US Gaiares )

GAIARES (US) - GAIARES (JPN)

Lighting Force (US) - Thunder Force IV (JPN)

Beyond Oasis (US) - Story of Thor (JPN)

One of my favorite JPN Artworks, the Japanese Bare Knuckle ( Streets of Rage ) Series :

Especially Bare Knuckle 2 has the "van Damme" touch in all male heroes faces. ( and the bad guy in the background seems lend to be Arnold Schwarzenegger from Total Recall )
