I've heard about this before, although it's good to see that it's finally up for broadcast.clarance wrote:What's going on? - Retro galore - http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/comingup/micromen/
The following sounds potentially interesting too:
"Gameswipe With Charlie Brooker. Charlie Brooker conducts a caustic, informative but ultimately affectionate analysis of the inner workings of the computer games industry."
Re: Micro Men - BBC Four
Awesomes!! Although no mention if Sir Alan will raise his ugly head in this tho

Double awesomes - Charlie Brooker is ACE, Screenwipe and Newswipe were superb ... really looking forward to this. Hope he invites his pal Dr Ashens along tooMatt_B wrote: "Gameswipe With Charlie Brooker. Looking forward to this for quite a while, although I prefer the original title "Syntax Era" which Martin Freeman mentioned in a recent interview.

Gameswipe is now on BBC iPlayer - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Gameswipe/
It was pretty good actually, lots of retro references and discussion there, and good to see it given 50mins ... Plenty of Speccy footage in there too! I think it's just a one-off though sadly, but I hope they make it into a series like Newswipe/Screenwipe.

Re: Micro Men - BBC Four
Doing a google search it appears it'll be on next Thursday (8th) at 9pm on BBC4. Can't wait.
I always thought that there should be something like the Pirates of Silicon Valley but covering the British computer industry. I'll certainly be watching it next week.

Looking forward to this. Strangely, according to digiguide, the BBC HD version is not on the same night, but is being shown the following Wednesday (14th Oct) at 21:00.
Oh and if you're watching Micro Men on BBC4 on the 6th - if you start watching an hour earlier you'll catch the repeat of Electric Dreams part 2, which will be all about tech from the 80s
(Gosh - it almost sounds like I work for the BBC!)
