Prior to going to the O2 Wireless Festival to see Depeche Mode, my girlfriend and I made our weekly trip to the local carboot. I had a feeling in my waters that today was going to be a good day.

And I wasn't wrong.. Picked up several nice bits including a GBA for 50p, Final Fantasy VII for £3, A couple of TV games, some handhelds and a rare book - The Art of Final Fantasy IX for £2. And some other bits n bobs.

Pics and full details over at the bootsale blog.

Have a good weekend people - I'm off to the moon :p

Some idiot was trying to get £3 each for generic MD games. I'd have given him a fiver for all 11

At my local car boot I picked up

2x Atari ST (520STFM's) - unboxed
1x Amiga 500+ - boxed with all accessories
1x Amiga 600HD (with the HD actually working)

1x big box of Atari ST games (on floppy) mostly unboxed - but originals.
and 1 GIGANTIC BOX that was almost the size of me full to the brim with Amiga games - mostly originals + EVERY CU Amiga coversdisk ever done all for £25 - they wanted around £40-£50 but I stood there for half an hour haggleing

I was impressed.

I walked around the corner and bought a NES for £1 with Duck Hunt and the gun (as well as two pads) but no other games (I was hopeing a Mario game would be in there)

Then I wondered around the the car boot some more seeing what else I could buy, I saw an unboxed Sega MegaDrive (no games) but being as I have 3 MegaDrives at home I decided against buying it ... I'll be kind enough not to buy up the entire retro gaming machine population in Lancashire and let some one elso have a turn.

Although this is not from a car boot, I work in a special needs school (as an IT technician) and when I cleaned out my cupboards in my workshop/dumping ground I found a BBC Micro Model B (with disk drive, Elite & Knight Lore - which is rare on BBC) and an Acorn A3010 (no games unfortuantly) - both have made there way into my home retro collection. We should have a topic for what retro machines people own and what their fav game is on each !?!

I got:

Final Fantasy 8 - £2.50
Nights - £1

psOne - £5 with Crash Bandicoot 3.

Slightly dissapointing as I'd driven 25 miles to get there - my local ones weren't up to much. However I later traded in a load of stuff at Gamestation and walked out with a White DS lite with Mario Kart and Sonic Rush :P

woody.cool, I would have thought that the duck hunt game would have had Mario on the same cart, as every NES I picked up with the gun had Mario Bros 1/duck hunt on the same cart, and I have picked up 6 - 7 of them now.

I stand corrected - it does have a Mario game on it. I was actually after one of the later Mario games (can't remember which one)

Can't believe I made such a daft error !!!!!!!

Does anyone know and/or have seen any GBA-SP chargers recently? Mine has suddenly vanished - to never be seen again!

Did it vanish like an old oak table?

I just flogged one with my GPA SP only yesterday. I'll keep an eye out at the boot this weekend though. How much ya going to pay?

Preferably under £10, but it depends on condition & if I can find what happened to the GBA SP. It ran out of power - I couldn't find the power adaptor after searching for :x 3 FU*KING DAYS :x so I just put the GBA SP on the bed-side table, woke up this morning, WHERE'S THE FU*KING GBA GONE?

GOD DAMN IT  I wish I was more organised!
