Huh...
Seller looks reliable enough...
If I didn't already own a MD I'd try it out.

They look nice.I often have a belief the same thing happened with commodores CD32 systems. When the Philippines government impounded them in 90s at the time for payment. There's a lot of brand new boxed ones on ebay you can get all the way from china..

Hell's bells, I'm considering getting one. My one from 1992 still works fine, but this one has a 6-button controller and a nice little book about software or something. I'd pay £12 for them on their own, maybe?
My comics blog (mostly lesser-known UK stuff from the 80s and 90s)

Buy it now for £20 then pay the same again for postage, so it's not as cheap a deal as it looks.. still pretty cool though.

Yeah but £40 for a brand new console, i'm sure boxed used ones have fetched more than that in the past.

I might of paid £40 for a brand new PAL ASIAN MODEL 1 mega drive but not for the model 2. I picked up a asian model 1 mega drive a month or so ago on ebay and only paid just over £18 for it and that included postage.

And very happy iam with it too.

Iam curious though if these pal asian models can run ALL jap games? Wouldn't mind trying a jap protected game (like sonic 3) on my console to see if it can handle it as I have heard it won't run on a uk PAL machine through an adaptor.

That guy has been selling them on and off for ages. I had one from him about 18 months ago although the postage was cheaper and I offered to buy it for £16 which he accepted. It was brand spanking new as advertised and arrived very well packaged. Everything was mint including the box. Not a mark on it :D
