Cant wait for this, it'll be out weds at midnight, ipad only....

Game of Watchcraft
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=2934650

What they're doing is taking modern games and trying to do a LCD 'homage' of that game, the first ones Game of Watchcraft (Obviously world of warcraft). Really looking forward to their future games, eg if they do a 'how would Half-life work if it was an old LCD game ?'

I've got quite a few old LCD games on my iphone which are great to play for short bursts, but this seems a very original idea.

How about a game screenshot quiz? Amiga, DOS, Megadrive and Commodore 64.

There is a site out there where you can install apps from it which work on non-jailbroken devices. Problem is lots of iOS websites were talking about it and Apple must have got wind and shut down the devs account. So thats why if you set the time back to a few months ago you can then install the apps (then set the time back to normal) and it works.

You can only install one app at a time which is a shame, the dev nearly had this fixed where you could install multiple but sadly Apple stopped him.

Either way the apps work really well

Been looking through my game collection and realise I don't have any good manager games.

Is there a decent version of Detroit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_(video_game)) or Nuclear War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_War_(video_game)) for iPhone or iPad ???

A classic in my eyes. I'd never heard about this until I went on the App Store on Saturday and saw it. Couldn't believe it. So many improvements over the brilliant first one. Loving every minute of this.

Remembered I had Ninth Dawn on my phone so gave it a go.

Looks like it would be great on an iPad, maybe even decent on the newer iPhones/iPods, but on my little old iPhone 3G its far to fiddly to be usable with my fat thumbs. Bit disappointed as I had been saving it for a rainy day. Zooming in helps with the main screen, but then the view is so restricted you can't see far enough ahead. There doesn't seem to be any way round the tiny unreadable and barely selectable menus though.

Jack n Jill
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id68698 ... Id=1720307

I'm not normally into 'runners' or one button platformers but this is great, free to try, 69p to get rid of the advert at the top. Superb Gameboy mono style graphics

Asphalt 8
https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/asphalt ... d610391947

I'm not a huge gameloft fan but this is great, 69p, great graphics and a lot of fun, different control methods. Its great

Finally took the plunge and tried a FPS on my iPhone. All be it a free one. Dead Trigger, and am surprisingly quite enjoying it as it controls not as bad as I thought it would. If this is the general standard for this type of game I could live with that. Saying that I have also downloaded but not tried yet zombies ate my friends. Looks like I RPG lite type game with large characters and bold graphics. Looks fun.

Yeah they don't play bad at all. There's a fair few Call of Duty type of games. Nova 1 and 2 are pretty good

Will have a look at those. Just discovered the now fairly old judge dredd vs zombies. Had to laugh straight away with his voice by the guy who voiced duke nukem. Plays fairly well which is a bonus

The judge dredd game isn't too bad. Bit samey but well worth planning. Quite like the judge dredd 'fighting fantasy' book
