In the last issue of Retro Gamer, wasn't Mr.Darran saying that the Sega Nomad was the best handheld ever? And what about the Lynx collection he's been talking about so much?
As for the iPhone, SOME of those games look fun, but not fun enough to justify changing networks, paying out a load of money or signing up to a contract, and making sure my fingers are clean all the time. No sir, won't do THAT.

Then don't. Didn't you bother listening to any of the stuff about forgetting the iPhone and using an iPod Touch as a dedicated games console?TwoHeadedBoy wrote:In the last issue of Retro Gamer, wasn't Mr.Darran saying that the Sega Nomad was the best handheld ever? Haha. I read a review online that said the key to the game was not to follow the racing line but just take the shortest, straightest route. Then just concentrate on speed - ideal being fast enough for a good time but not too fast so you don't skid (which really slows you down).CraigGrannell wrote:I hate you. All the games on mine are:
Peggle
Price £2.99
One of my fave games of recent years. So simple and so addictive!

SimCity
Price - £2.99
Good old SimCity, though haven't played this as much as id have liked

Adrenaline Pool online
Price - £2.99
They have released a 2nd version of this at £1.79 but i haven't played that one. Great top down pool and snooker game with online play and chat functions. Online leader boards as well.

Zombieville USA
Price £1.19
Side scrolling zombie shoot em up with 15 different weapons. Love the graphics style and animation of this.

Car Jack streets
Price £1.79
A nice GTA clone that has great graphics and gameplay but lets itself down with some empty streets sometimes.

Myst
Price £3.49
Needs no introduction really. I never played the original so cant compare it but im enjoying it and they've recently made the file 30% smaller meaning its only 535mb now!

Arvale - Journey of illusion
Price £1.79
Another of my fave games from the App store. If you love Zelda/FF etc this is for you. Its got some great humour in it and the controls work nicely. Has 200 different monsters and 6 continents to explore with loads of NPC's to talk to!

Dr Awesone
Price £0.59
A nice challenging game that used the tilt controls to perform micro surgery, cutting off parts of the infected area so the viruses cant mutate. It also has power ups to make it more interesting. The nice touch is that it uses the contacts from your phone book as the names of the patients you try and save in the game.

Re: Post your iPod Touch games here
After being it's biggest critic, I got an iPhone 3GS this week, totally converted.
Awesome games, brilliant on screen keypad and I have big fat fingers, clean hands stuff is bollocks, worked with Castrol 10w50 oil on my hands.
The port of Golden Axe is awesome, the port of sonic sucks.
Really enjoying Resident Evil, but aiming can be an arse.
Looking forward to some more titles appearing.
