It's ios 7.1 only though but well worth picking up. Retro graphics and sound. A great little game
if that'll run on my 4S i'll give it a look - thanks
Yeah I've got a 4s. If you're on ios 7.1 you'll be fine. I'm on ios 7.04 as I'm jailbroken so it was annoying it didn't work. But i found instructions to edit the IPA file so now it works fine (phew)

my main problem is running out of space constantly - not being able to clear app caches is ridiculous....

Yeah same here. Bought a 64 gig iPhone 4S on ebay. £200 wasn't bad. Sold my android hudl, iPhone 4 to put towards it. Frustrating how Dropbox and facebook don't seem to empty their cache. My Facebook app was 500 meg the other day!

Quite a famous indie game. Very difficult in places but great retro style graphics (BBC/C64 style), controls well. Well worth picking up
Never played this on other platforms, but it's brilliant! Really enjoying the simple gameplay and great music :D

Well worth 2 bones.

How about a game screenshot quiz? Amiga, DOS, Megadrive and Commodore 64.

Also loving vvvvvv

I don't really like ios gaming as I just can't get used to touch controls but this one is great/

Also playing Tiny Striker a lot - very simple but quite addictive.

I'm still loving First Touch Soccer 14, played about 500 games on that. Cross between kick off/player manager, taken Reading to the premiership and won it a few times on the hardest level, still get some good close games though. I'm purposely not buying the best players and i'm keeping the nucleus of the squad but just training them to get them better. Otherwise if i have a team full of 99 99 99 skills it'll get way too easy.

As for the touch controls took me a while to get used to them on iOS but now i find it so easy

Just completed vvvvvv - only died about 1,400 times but it was good fun. Also liked the retro ending screen!!

So what next psj?

Oceanhorn is a great Zelda clone/homage. For platformers I still love Paper monsters

I've been playing an Asteroids inspired shooter called Gladiex after it's developer contacted me. It's got a Jeff Minter feel to it and is certainly worth a download.

Where have you been for the last 4 weeks or so since its been out ;)

Yeah its very short but i love this game, they're apparently working on much more content as its been a huge hit for them. A great little game though. Everytime i play it i keep thinking of Crystal Castles !

Also worth picking up Callys Caves 2 , its free, 69p to get rid of ad's, worth supporting the devs. Nice old skool style run n gun platformer

Also today Buzz Killem is free, this is a decent 'kill all enemies on the level' type of platformer

Hitman Go
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=222830

Initially missed this as i was expecting a 'proper' Hitman game. But gave this a go last night and its great, its a bit like a puzzle game, great graphics like a boardgame. Very addictive and a lot of levels (Can buy some extra packs as well). Yeah its a few quid but its well worth picking up, have a look at the thread and the gameplay video

So I was looking around for some new games on iOS today, naturally doing this right after buying like 20 things on Steam over the last week or so, when suddenly HOLY CRAP!!! STOP THE PRESSES!!! STOP ALL THE PRESSES!!!! WE HAVE MONSTER HUNTER. MONSTER FREAKING HUNTER. *brain asplode*

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, specifically. The whole thing, not some damn screwy minigame this time. My mind is blown. This is compatible with the controllers for these devices too, and I dont mean arcade sticks (which would be stupid).

....what's that? You want to hear about other games too? ...there are other games? Coulda fooled me.....
