Just downloaded...

Biolab Disaster

Its free, its like Random Heroes/Clash Force, bit of a 16 bit style platformer, run n gun type of game.

Apparently its quite short which is a shame and probably went free as it didnt sell much when it first came out but looks to be a decent 'gem'

After putting an hour or 2 into it I realised that you are actually building up to make a single run of 10million points and that your individual runs aren't stacking

Ive put some more time into it and I don't seem to be getting any where fast and in only up to about 50k. I'm upgrading and purchasing everything I can so am I missing something or is it just a massive grind?
I've completed it. You're not missing anything, it is a massive grind. I enjoyed it though... it probably took me a couple of weeks of intermittent play. If you stick with it, you'll find that your score starts climbing quicker than you might think.

I'll be very interested to see how the Vectrex app works. I've got an iPad with iCade so I'm really tempted!

Yeah i'm hoping it'll be great. I think theyre trying to make some money with some IAP's, eg theres an icade add-on you buy, i mean i dont mind either way, if the apps say 99c or $1.99 and you have to buy some 69p extras that wont be bad. I've been waiting for this app in ages, love vector games (have about 16 on my ipod currently i've found) so this was a dream app for me.

Looking at the video the controls seem to work well, theyve tested it with the icade so that should work perfectly. I mean Scramble alone i'm excited by ! Theyve got the official licenses for all the games and some IAP's will allow you to buy homebrew stuff, eg the Vectrex version of Thrust !

Roll on thursday !!!

Love the iCade though, MAME is obviously my favourite but also love playing Speccy games on it (Via Spectaculator), worth trying that out.

If you like the icade its tempting to get the 8-bitty...

They do sell them in the UK but theyre 30 quid ! I bought mine from the US from that site, great little device, some of the button mapping is odd for some games but MAME alone works perfectly, review of it here...

Few games out last night...

Magic Orbz

Looks like a great take on Arkanoid/Breakout, was a huge hit on the PS3

Mini Dash
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=167866

Bought this this morning, nice platformer, looking forward to unlocking the 8 bit levels and the mono gameboy ones. Some people have mentioned the odd bug but its been fine for me, well worth getting.

I picked this up this morning, they've only gone and managed to take Super Meat Boy and actually make it work on the iPhone! The accelatromator controls are great for this game so far, quite precise indeed which is a must for a game like this. Very impressed with it so far, I hope it holds up in the later/harder levels...

I 'sold out' and bought some coins as i was dying to unlock the bonus levels (Such as 8 bit/gameboy mono etc), theyre very good but the bonus levels are very very hard !

Enjoying playing the standard levels though, well worth the money, nice little game.

Honestly with iOS gaming i'm like a kid again during the 80's. I cant wait for those games to be released tonight ! I'll offer to do the late one tonight (i take it in turns to do the late bottle for the baby !) as it'll probably be about 12/1am when she wakes up so it'll be bottle and download these apps !

Cant wait to play the Vectrex app on my icade as well ! Come on 12am !

And another one...

Jet Set Radio (old game from the Dreamcast)
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=168128

Looks decent

I've just downloaded the Vectrex app, it looks really great and i'll buy the games pack later in the week once i've got some more itunes credit.

However level 2 on Mine Storm keeps freaking out on me for a few seconds usually resulting in me then dying soon after :( hopefully they will fix the bug soon..
