PSP Go! revealed (allegedly) with pics!

I played my PSP for a few hours on Locoroco, but can't see any point in any other games, it had so much potential that was wasted.

That's pretty nice. I see where they're going with this, away from the UMD (thank god) and following a download model that works so well for the iPhone. As owner of a modded PSP who only plays his games from Memory Stick, I wholly endorse this. It's just a better way to play (for a portable at least). I'm in no way tempted to upgrade but then I'm not the target market. This is aimed at iphone gamers and kids wanting something a bit more advanced than the now overpriced and under specced DS.

That is a god awful design.

As far as I'm concerned the UMD format was utterly fantastic, they stored a lot of data, loaded quickly and were nearly impossible to scratch! Download only games are going to slaughter regular gamers (No trading in? No competitive prices from various retailers? Not even letting a friend borrow it for a few nights?)

And as far as I can see there still aren't two analogue sticks! Jeez, throw them in and then you can port some truly awesome PS2 games, that's all I wanted with the PSP in the first place

I'd bet my life Sony did not design that!

That looks pathetic!

The pics in Mike Haggar's links do look like it's a Sony machine!

I like those EuroGamer screenshots, looks quite smart.

Not keen on the positioning of the analogue stick though.

My only concern with this is the price of the games. £15 for a PSP game on the PlayStation store is already too expensive when it's possible to buy them for the same price in store.

Even the Eurogamer pics look god awful too me. I love the look of my PSP slim and lite - that just looks like a phone.
I'm also one of the people who don't like the idea of download only games. So a big MEH.

Well, it's a great design - lovely even. Yeah, I really like the design.

BUT:
No 2nd analog?
Download games?
What am I going to do with my enormous UMD collection? Granted, I only have one, and I found it in an airport, but it's one more than I was ever planning on getting.
I love my modded PSP 2000 too much to bother upgrading, but it might be the only way to get new games, so... Bluh?

oh dear....

oh dear oh dear......

that design deserves perhaps the most Golden Turkey awards for absoulte stupidity.... theres absolutely no style, no ergonomics... just a two-toning of psp piano gloss black and ash silver!!

firstly..... my hands are a little larger than the norm... and certainly bigger than that of my Asian cousins, one could say gigantic in comparison, its not owt's fault its genetics... and to be honest I doubt I am that far from the european norm to be honest.

the damn thing is to small and looks like its a torture device used to cause carpel-tunnel syndrome!!!

I am still butt hurt of the cost of the downloadable content.... shocked infact.... how can they charge so much for NO physical ownership... its.... its.... CRIMINAL!!!

bah.... as always Big Corps get their way.... I just hope gamers wise up and hurt them where it hurts them the most!!.... lets hope they vote with thier wallets

So they've taken the original PSP design and instead of adding the things people want (a second analogue control in the main), they've broken it even further.

I'll pass.
