I haven't sold a game in years and as long as I'm not in financial trouble I never will.

I still have all my Commodore 64 games and my Jap Megadrive games from 91 like Devil Hunter Yoko and no Megadrive and I still wouldn't part with them.. I would never part with most of my collection only the Dreamcast Stuff and certain PS2 Pal stuff like God of War 2 I didn't think much off.. Probably the Japanese Snes and PS2 stuff is my most prized.. Along with a complete Silent Hill 2PS2 even has the sticker
"Crush the Old Order and CREATE A NEW SOCIETY!"

I have a small collection of MD games I would never get rid of. Nothing spectacular, but I just like to have them handy, for close encounters...

Buck Rogers
Light Crusader
Streets of Rage 2
Flashback

/me waves to helmetfan

One of my friends thinks i am weird because i 'do not' trade in any games'.

Personally i just dont see the point, if i buy them it's because i like them.

But getting back to the subject, i would never part with Realms of the haunting, Syndicate Wars or Bladerunner all on the PC.

There's not many I wouldn't part with. Sadly they're all on different systems so I've got all this damn hardware for a handful of great games.

Panzer Dragoon Saga - Saturn (not because it's pricey, but because it's awesome)
Ridge Racer 4 - PS1
Katamari Damacy - PS2
Frogger - Atari 2600
Endless Ocean - Wii
Burnout 2 - GC
Ridge Racers 2 - PSP

Mostly newer stuff you notice. For older games, I'm generally more than happy with emulation. I have re-bought a lot of the old Spectrum games I sold years ago but, truth be known, I can't be arsed to wait 5 minutes for a tape to load any more.

Come to think of it, add Nintendogs and Animal Crossing (DS) to that list. I don't play either any more, but wiping the data on either would feel a bit like murder so I'm stuck with them.

Unfortuantely, when I was younger I sold practically all the games I owned (well, for the NES, Mega Drive and Playstation at least) including stuff that I'd never part with nowadays (getting rid of the entire Point Blank and Bust-a-Move series on the PS1 was particularly painful) and I've been spending my time since getting them back. I'm not selling them again, unless I have a clearout at some point.

For some reason, though, we never sold any of our Spectrum games the first time 'round, and I found them again not too long ago. I don't have a working Spectrum console anymore, and I don't even know if they work, but I'm never getting rid of them.

Oh, and my New Zealand Story arcade board. First one I ever had, and it's a rare version with harder levels.

Gamewise it's a tough choice between my boxed mint Grim Fandango and Ultima VII for PC. System wise it's my Megadrive CD it may get a lot of stick for being a failed add on but it's actually packed with a ton of decent games and it's had the most use out of all my retro consoles over the years.

thats true, its what you personally get out of it at the end of the day regardless of what other people may think

i ditto katamari and alundra from the earlier posts, my copy of alundra came with a mini walkthrough,
I wouldnt part with my copy of castlevania, symphony of the night on the ps1 unless i was swapping it for the version with the sountrack in, also another ps1 game i would never get rid of would be soul blade, its not particularly rare but i really love it and i have many found memories playing it back in the 90s around a friends house and at the arcade

Heres my shortened list

Phantasy star, 2,3,4.
(The first was one I was looking for for years)
Sonic Choas.
Not the best Sonic but one of the first games I got when it came out.
Wonder boy 3 the Dragons trap
I like this game to much
Shining force, 2, 3(not all of it) CD
Ive been tempted to get rid of them, but wont
My Binatone
Was the first console I was ever given. So the chance of me getting rid of it are so small even the worlds most powerful microscope cant see it
Dragon Force (Not the band)
Why arnt there more games like this?
SNK vs. Capcom Cardfighters
The amount of hours I put into this is silly I still dont remember the one loss I have on it tho)
