MAME arcade machines

Post by station » Fri Apr 24, 2009 5:49 am

Hi!
I'm just wondering if anyone knows how much these are worth. I've been offered an original cocktail arcade cabinet which was originally a Namco arcade machine, but has since had a PC put in with MAME installed. The arcade boards are still in there, but want a value as I may be swapping something for it. It's highly unlikely I will be as I need the money and absolutely have no space, but I'd really like this! Thanks!

Have to see what it is like and if it is well built or thrown together..

Thrown together in an ok shape it's worth 50 quid for spares..
Well built with nice tidy controlls and everything looking great and a nice PC - anything from 200 up to 500 depending on a lot of factors..

So where is the PC..?
I can see the PCB for the arcade game, the arcade PSU and Stepdown.. But no PC..?

The Table looks tidy although nothing with more than 2 buttons will be playable and seeing as how jamma has a 3 button standard thats a lot of games you cant play...
A bit more info needed to get a true idea of price but nice looking table, good to see the control panel is in one piece and still has it's overlay, is it the same both sides..?

Says 2,500 games. Not up on how you get these linked to the screen/hardware. It has extra cards.
"bought an arcadevga and jpac and put a pc in it, it has a pc running windows xp running it with a load of roms (software removed from the original arcade pcb chips).

it runs on mame software.

it originaly came with commando and its been converted to jamma (able to take any any arcade pcb)

i still have commando but it has a couple of dry joints, i havent got a soldering iron to fix it but it still works if you fiddle with the circut board where the dry joints are (nothing really).

pics before conversion...

That's look like a Space Invaders mk1 cabinet which in extremely good condition i've seen go for £700 - £1k.

J-pac and ArcadeVGA costs over £100 new.

I would snap that up m8 - looks like a good buy if you can get it for a few hundred pounds of trade/£.

I'm supposedly maybe swapping this for a mk1 MR2. I just don't want to be lumbered with something I can't sell and totally regret it.

Hows the MK1..? Does it have good rear arches or are they rotten..?
Is it the T-bar or bog standard model..?

Because I have alwasy wanted a MK1 T-bar and I have plenty of arcade machines to swap.. Like a full size Dead or Alive for example ;)

Rear arches look fine. I bought it for 250 quid for the engine as it had front corner bump (very light). The car was too good so I bought a new bumper/bonnet/etc and drove it for a few months. The lad I bought it off wants it back as he misses it. :) They're awesome cars to drive. It's a tbar.
