Now that its finished I think we need to lean on Darran a bit to make sure it is published in the mag.

So sign the petition by choosing YES I BLEEDING WELL DO

I say yes.

I want to spread the message further about how good my selection was!

For what it's worth, I've already asked Darran if he wants me to turn the 100 great retro games thread into a feature. However, if I were to do this, I wouldn't go for the typical 100-greatest list that takes up something absurd like 26 pages (see: the top 100 games in issues 8 and 9)—it'd be more like six pages, with specific games only getting grabs. Of course, that's all down to Darran anyway. I think it's an interesting list—different to most—but whether that warrants a half dozen pages in the magazine is another matter. I guess if you really want this in the mag (or not, for that matter), make your opinion known in this thread.

I'd have thought it could be done in half a dozen pages with small grabs of all and then larger games picked out, but I have zero knowledge or skills in the publishing game so what would I know!

I would like to see a picture of all as not that many people will actually play or have played all the games on the list.

No, it would be a complete waste of space.

Could get extra pages by using it to replace the bargain hunt for an issue. Though I do like the retro auction watch.

Yes...and no.

Yes, provided it doesn't take up a lot of space. No, because it is yet another list, and it's probably too soon after previous efforts.

16 grabs per page? That's pushing it somewhat, although the developer look-back games pages have a similar number.

Why should it be printed ?

Look, at the end of the day, we know it's a bit whimsical. Whimsical because it makes no pretence at being the result of a serious statistical survey where x number of people were asked (where x is a number significantly over 100) and then the results collated taking into consideration the age and location of the people who were asked and all the other minutae that a 'proper' survey would consider.

No.

This is just a bunch of happy guys on a small internet forum chewing the fat over a 25 year old hobby and having a bit of fun over it.

And that is EXACTLY why it should go in.
