Was there ever a Simpsons video game years ago?

Post by krusty40 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 12:06 pm

There have been quite a few (mostly dire) Simpsons games made for a variety of consoles in the past decade, but does anybody ever remember an arcade game of The Simpsons, or even the C64 or Mega Drive etc? i know they had a game for the PC in 1997 called Virtual Springfield but i cant remember anything before that.

There's been feckin' millions of them, where have you been? Simpsons Arcade, Krusty's Super Funhouse, Bart vs the Space Mutants, the list goes on.

I have two on the NES - Bart vs the World and Bart vs the Space Mutants.

No idea if these were on the arcades though.

They weren't. However Space Mutants, plus the kinda reverse lemmings game "Krusty's Fun house" were ported to largely everything.

the arcade game was great! unfortunately, there wasn't a home port. you could just play it on mame if you wanted to play it now, though

i once heard that sega sued the makers of simpsons road rage because it was too similar to crazy taxi (and it was pretty much exactly the same ,but with simpsons characters), and that's why it's harder to find than the other ps2 simpsons games

Most Simpsons games to date have been absolute crap with a few exceptions. They may make a great cartoon but they make a sh1t game

Bart vs the space mutants was on the C64/A500.Crap games indeed think the cartoon itself has over stayed its run.

the simpsons rip

Post by krusty40 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 2:21 pm

ironically, the most recent title, The Simpsons Game, is probably the best, at a time when the tv series has sunk so low that its like watching a dear friend slowly lose the battle for life. oh sweet jesus, have any of ye seen the new episodes of the Simpsons? they are terrible, beyond crap. the jokes arent funny, they drag on too long, the guest stars are woeful and worst of all, they have copied the animation style of Family Guy. just let it go, its dead.
