Sod the gaming aspect... if I could go back, when the priest said "do you take this woman etc..." I should have told him to eff off, I'm outta here.... !!

But in a gaming aspect, I would love to go back and be at Atari at the start, just to experience the place first hand...

Oh, and can I do this in a DeLorean?? :) (Pedictable joke no. 487)

I would tell young Chewy to NEVER sell any consoles or mags, stay in school, and seek more sunlight... Well, maybe not the last one.

More or less what I would say.

Sold my Atari 2600 & loads of games for £15 - bought a couple of speccy games, I can't even remember which.

Sold my speccy for about £50 or so with hundreds of games in the late 80's.

I gave away a HUGE stack of Your Sinclair, Sinclair User & Crash mags when I had sold the speccy.

Oh & I would have told a very disappointed young hawk NOT to unpack the bumf you got with World Cup Carnival & play with the stickers/wallchart etc while waiting for it to load - it's the same bloody game as World Cup Football that you already have & you WON'T be able to exchange it for something else.

Sold a huge catalogue of Mean Machines issues including the early ones to a 2nd hand shop for peanuts. Haunts me still!

I'd go back to December 1991, march into my local Quinnsworth Toy & Homeware department, and punch that kid ahead of me in the line for the Sonic the Hedgehog display who wouldn't give anyone else a go for like half an hour.
It's called a MEGADRIVE

Hi All,

for me it would be to go back and stop myself selling my Spectrum to a 70 year old, motorbike riding Granny along with all my software including lots of lovely big box Ultimate games for £50! (Seemed a lot of money at that time) Circa, 1989.

Or hide my Beeb for the whole of 1985 so my Mum couldn't sell it behind my back!
("Well, you never play with it any more")

If I could go back in time and lose my memory of any event after that date, I would go back to 1997 and re-play Final Fantasy VII :D

Otherwise, I would go back in time and purchase as many brand new games and accessories that are now classed as extremely rare.

Go back to the early 90's and accrue shedloads of cash by gambling on sporting events. I would then use this to re-live the SNES and Megadrive era by purchasing every game I now know is great. Online will never beat close-quarter multiplayer sessions on Bomberman or Super Mario Kart where your adversary was but a hair's breadth away.

Either that or torch the Street Fighter 2 movie set

I'd go back to 1982 and concentrate REALLY hard on learning to code games.
Then, knowing what I know now, I'd probably make a killing.

Id go back, buy out sony and dissolve it. Give the prototypes of the playstation to Sega and then reap the reward. And then go back further and become the father of Video games and charge a royalty for every thing made video game realated. Ill asure that I can wipe my arse with a fiver when I wish and that Sega will decimate all.
Watching you sleep since 1990
