My 360 just died of the red ring of death, so i decided to dig out the Wii and see if anything good had appeared on the VC in the 6 months since I last checked. And still, no Mario Kart! What is going on? Anyone know if this is ever coming out? And whether they are going to reduce the prices on VC to something more sensible?
I would have thought they would have released it before Mario Kart Wii, to drum up sales, but it turned out this didn't happen, and Mario Kart Wii sold just fine anyway.

Sadly Nintendo are completely neglecting the Virtual consoel. I WANT some excellent retro games. I WANT to spend my money on this stuff but Nintendo are not interested. Pity.

I'd imagine they will wait for the sales of Mario Kart Wii to decline before releasing Super Mario Kart on the VC, after all, there's profit to be had!

There could be a positive side to it. It was around the time of the Virtual Console's debut that companies practically stopped releasing retro compilations on consoles. Perhaps the trend could be going back the other direction again.

I agree, I'd rather have a compilation of 15 games or so for £20 than 3 N64 games at the same price.

Absolutely. That's why only 140 million people have bought their products in the last few years.

Play the GBA version ('Mario Kart Super Circuit') on your DS then! It has all the SNES tracks as unlockables...

Because the game is far too complicated for most of the Wii's audience - It does use more than two buttons after all.
Or to put it another way, because Nintendo are c*nts?
