Not really a movie, just the final 2 episodes of the TV series.

The pilot was released as a 'movie' too, it's just called Mortal Kombat Conquest.

Got the full TV series here. Had to import from Australia since it's not been released elsewhere.

Oh, and there's the movie Game Over that's cut together using old Digital Pictures interactive games footage and the movie Fox Hunt that's mostly using footage from the game Fox Hunt.

Would I be able to watch the pilot and The Final Conquest and know what is going on?

Well... There's some characters introduced during the series that shows up in the final episodes. But... it's mostly about the fighting and such, so story isn't really THAT important...

felgekarp wrote:There is a Darkstalkers anime film as well, you might want to look into that once you've got all the movies you're after. Not sure if it's any good though.
Its terrible
But the Art of fighting one is worse
Where as Fatal fury 1/2 are good (not the moive)

Realistic movies based on games

The preferd term is "Live action"

The Devil may cry anime (there will be a dubbed version of it) was awful

The Disgaea one is note worthy
As the trailer was great
Then the anime ?
Errrr censored till the last few episodes

Annny way
Its best not to get me started with the anime things as things can get a bit otak

Actually when I said realistic I was talking about the size and ability to complete the collection.

I am a big fan of Anime and have included a number of non-live action in the list.

Actually, I'm trying to collect all videogame-based movies on DVD too, so this topic is pretty useful- didn't even know there was a Wing Commander movie!

I'm glad there's at least a few people who like the Street Fighter movie. If you forget it's based on Street Fighter at all, it's silly enough to be enjoyable, and it's sometimes even funny on purpose, rather than unintentionally. Also, Van Damme. Every moment he's on-screen is classic.

Also good to see a few people sticking up for Uwe Boll- he's certainly not the worst director ever, and House of the Dead is classic cheesy horror stuff. Alone in the Dark is completely unwatchable, though, and I only got through it by switching the director's commentary on, which is mostly Boll whining about the reception of House of the Dead. Then his dogs show up for some reason. Best commentary ever.

I was in Morrisons the other day and picked up a 3 movie set for £8! Movies are:

Doom
Resident Evil Apocalypse
RE: Extinction!

Not bad!

Are you also collecting the documentaries like The King of Kong?

I have a Lara Croft one that covers the history, games and cultural impact:

You can pick it up cheap in a double pack disc with a Nicole Kidman movie, Nightmaster.

The docu was shown on telly, I've seen it before, but it was an odd charity shop find.
