No Tron doesn't count, but is in my side collection games based on Videogaming.

Just ordered 6 more films for just £18 inc p&p :D

Devious - Yes you would have to find it, but I am not going to put the time here. You either listen to it or you don't. A summary of my view is that it wants to be a comic book film rather than a game film. And Sin City it certainly isn't.

So its good then? ;)

I'm passing on the anime for that very reason - way too many of them. That and most of them are dire kids shows like Sonic.

I got a rip of the Tekken anime years ago. Never did get round to watching it, such is my enthusiasm for videogame cartoons.

I do have a Double Dragon DVD with a couple of the cartoon episodes though, it came from Poundland.

I also have another DVD of a recentish kids TV show, where a videogame hero comes to life. I forget the name, I'll post it later, another Pounland/charity shop find.

Two points should be made:

*No video game to movie translation has ever been successful or resulted in a decent film
*Uwe Boll is a terrible film maker

TBH, there are a wealth of games out there that could make decent films.

I would refute both of those statements.

I have enjoyed plenty of videogame adaptations, particularly DOA, the Resi Films, the Resi Anime and the Dead Space Anime.

Uwe Boll may not be a great director, but his films are no where near as bad as the bandwagon jumping suggests.I have watched both BloodRayne's and Postal this week and enjoyed all of them.

I don't know if this counts..but you've missed the Devil May Cry Tv series..a collection of 12 episodes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil_May_Cry_(anime)

view a trailer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ3iSUDS0c4

and they where fantastic..but since they are still in limbo for a release date in the US and Europe..it is unlikely you'll see this gem of a cartoon..here's what they say about it :(

Am trying to keep to movies (and English language) to keep the collection realistic, but that one does look interesting.

A second Silent Hill film is in the making. You can add that to your list next year ;)

There are a lot due this year and next (I mention them in the podcast). The ones I am most looking forward to are probably Bioshock and World of Warcraft (even though I don't care about the game WOW).

There is a Darkstalkers anime film as well, you might want to look into that once you've got all the movies you're after. Not sure if it's any good though.

Found it. Ace Lightning:

I also have Initial D: Drift Racer. Technically that's a movie based on anime iirc, but I only knew it from the videogames. It was released in the UK, but its subtitled. Picked up cheap in Asda a while back. Quite enjoyed it, though its quite quirky. Some of the characters are caricatures and the plot is silly, but its an enjoyable romp about boy racers.

I didn't think much of Silent Hill. But I don't like the games either.

I've got the Parasite Eve live action film which is boring as hell..

Mortal Kombat Annihilation is/was in Poundland
Double Dragon film I quite liked.. The T1000 was on there,as it was based on the Neo Geo game) the cartoon was awefull Jimmy Lee was the Shadow Boss which makes no sense..

The Wild West BloodRayne was good.. BloodRayne 2 I believe..

House of the Dead 1 was horrible, just titulation, Dance Music and random clips of House of the Dead 1 arcade game.. Story was about some undead pirate on a island who turns the population into zombie's and sets them on a load of Chavish Kids who went there for a Rave and to play 'Sega' games.. Currigan looked about 14 and 'G' was a bald black man..

House of the Dead 2 and Alone in the Dark 2 never new they existed..

I bought Alone in Dark one for £3 new and can't remember nothing about it other than a female bad un who ate Carnby's Pa's brains
