Exerion is a fantastic and challenging shooter. Its slow pace deceivingly lets you think that you can easily achieve hyper-scores. Then you swear at your sluggish ship that is unable do dodge even the slowest shot.
After you manage getting along with that, you start swearing at those damn enemies, which seem to shot aimlessly, and on the contrary are quite successful at restricting even more your movements.
If you persist, then you discover that it's a very elegant gameplay, almost some sort of dancing, which requires rythm, patience and skills. The complete absence of any kind of music and the minimal sound effects just exacerbate the building tension.
The ability to shot most of enemy's projectile, the double weapons, one of which has limited ammo that must be replenished by hitting targets with the other one, the score and medal system: all this made Exerion one of my favourites 'just-one-more-game' shooters. Addictive.

Mmm... shoould I post that on the main page reviews? :D
