Jaleco pulls out of the game business - will they be missed?

I'm not sure they will, I can't think of a game of theirs that I enjoyed..........

After a quick look on the net - Oh they published King Arthur's world, I liked that :D

I'd only heard of one of their games, Rygar. So I guess I won't be missing them...

I could only think of some rally game with a Porsche 959 which Wikipedia tells me is Big Run. Trouble is the Wikipedia list includes stuff they published on at least one platform so includes a lot of clearly non-Jaleco games like Monty on the Run and Maniac Mansion.

They developed Rodland and Super EDF though which I enjoyed. Beyond that though I couldn't tell you, absolutely failed to get any recognition from me!

It was pretty crap.

Can't really recall playing many/any Jaleco games but their upcoming Wii game "Kizuna" was looking very interesting:

I wonder what will happen to it now, hopefully another company will pick it up and release it.

I only really remember CARRIER on the dreamcast, and I didnt get very far into that to judge the company.

Only game I've played that they made was Chimera Beast on MAME.

Tuff Enuf

and

Rival Turf (pictured here)

Uo Poko is a good puzzler (developed by Cave, though).

The novel thing in regards to Chimera Beast is that cancer was actually used a power-up.
