ARE YOU A GENIUS OR EXPERT ON ANY 80S RETRO GAME?

Post by JLCshow » Mon Jan 19, 2009 11:06 am

Are any of you crazily skilled or stunningly brilliant on any old retro games? Maybe you can complete a level blindfolded or something insane?

If so do you want to come prove your skills to Justin Lee Collins, the king of the retro-obsessives, on his new ITV show?

If so email us at jlc@objectiveproductions.com and come get involved!

Amazing site by the way, but not enough Sinclair Spectrum +2 talk for my liking.

You might want to chuck a post up over at Jamma+ too. Some very serious arcade collectors/players over there. 8)

Either way if JLC is a real Retrohead then its about time he plugged RG on his show. Its a niche mag that should have a much broader audience....just a thought.

I have a 5.71 second time in Activision's Dragster. I only have an attention span of 6 seconds so it's the perfect game for me :)

I could beat 99% of (UK) games players on Killer Instinct.

Oh, and the big one - I can complete the first level of Megadrive Sonic the Hedgehog in under half an hour (28.17 min to be exact)!

I can probably beat anyone at Street Fighter II: Champion Edition with my eyes shut.

Another possibilty is Head Over Heels ....... I reckon I could get Head & Heels to the section where they meet up with all the teleporters (where they teleport to each planet) with my eyes shut.

How do you know JLC doesn't post here? Were he to do so, I doubt he'd announce it with something like "I'm Justin Lee Collins, bask in my hairy greatness!"

He could be any one of us!

We need to meet this year.

Yes, you may slap me around on SFII, but am sure we can scrap on a few others??

Tekken, KoF, MK?

How bout it?

I'm up for it ........... I'm not as good at the aforementioned games as I am at SF2, so I best prepare to get my but kicked
