What game you addicted to this week?

Post by Scooby1970 » Tue May 02, 2006 5:53 pm

Ok, this does not have to be a favourite game, it doesn't have to even be a classic game or masterpiece. Hey! It doesn't even have to be retro!

What game are you finding yourself playing this week more than any other? Maybe you're playing it inbetween bouts of other games. Maybe it's a game you've come back to after many years.

At the moment I am really into classic shoot-em ups. First off, I am hooked to trying as far as I can on the original Defender. And secondly, I am playing a remake of Phoenix, which is totally awesome, and between the two of them I can't get myself to play anything else for any long periods of time.

I am also playing Outrun 2006 and Pro-Evo 4 on the PS2 quite alot, but my games of the week are really those two mentioned.... I am actually getting better at Defender after all these years! lol

This week I'm playing TR Legend and Rayman on my PS2, along with Daxter on my PSP.

For the Speccy though, I'm playing... wait for it... Granny's Garden!

Bubble Bobble in the league of course. Fun, but I'm rubbish at it.

Silent Hill on PS1. Playing the full game for the first time, having only played the MGS demo before. Unusually, the film managed to creep me out so I had to give it a go.

Another notch for Bubble Bobble... although I preferred Rainbow Islands last season.

I am currently playing Battlefield 2 (hardly retro) at the moment now that my internet connection has been fixed (useless for gaming for about 4 months).

But after watching the Matrix this week I think a bit of Die Hard Arcade is in order.

Driver Parallel Lines has been played extensively as I have to review it. Other than that, Flashback on the Amiga, Gradius V on PS2 and I'm just starting Dragon Quest VIII as it's been on my shelf since release day.
Giving it 100%, 60% of the time.
