Is that rarer than PAL R-Type III on the GBA then?
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Not hugely rare or valuable but i have a rental copy of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. Not something you see in the wild often.

I chose this because it was something i just found in a classic game shop in Aldershot called Cart Club (If youre in the area, definately check it out)
I hadnt played Klonoa and knew very little about it but i picked it up for a tenner. So glad that i did too. Such a brilliant platformer and easily one of my favourite PS1 games. You cannot resist its charm.
I asked for orange. It gave me lemon lime!

I think the rarest item I own is a clear blue Astro Boy Game Boy Light

A lot of my favorite items in my collection are controllers. I have one of the SGB commander joypads for SNES:

I also tracked down a Hori mini N64 pad which arrived yesterday, I really love it - So comfy to use!

Another fave is my Club Nintendo SNES Wii Classic Controller, which is awesome for Virtual Console.

Rarest or perhaps most valuable items in my collection would probably be Panzer Dragoon Saga, Snatcher, Knuckles Chaotix & Kolibri. Ashamedly I haven't played any of them yet since I got them. Dunno what I'm waiting for. :x

Rarest hardware: SX-32 expansion for the Amiga CD-32

Rarest game: Persona, PS1 (bought for £1 in a charity shop, no manual)

Don't really have much rare stuff at all, unless I bought it when it originally came out (like Tombi for the PS1). Just can't afford/justify picking any game up for over £35 now!

i thought about this often and can't really decide what item in my collection is rarest, or most valuable

if i split it up per important console i get:
- NES: Rodland (complete), Stadium Events (complete)
- SNES: Earthbound (complete)
- Megadrive: Streets of Rage 3 (complete)
- PS1: Destructo 2 (sealed), Hebereke's Popoito and many other obscure rarities
- PS2: The Getaway Million Seller version, Soul Nomad (sealed, PAL UK), Space Channel 5 Part 2

the item i love the most of everything in my collection is not expensive or rare at all.. Little Big Adventure 2 complete, from my childhood (L)

Not sure, I think RT 3 on the GBA is quite easy to pick up - I think legitimate PAL copies will be harder to find though.

I don't know if RT 2 PAL on GB is hugely rare due to a low print run, I suspect with a lot of gameboy games there just aren't that many copies out there that are complete and reasonably priced.

I don't really own anything rare to be honest, I just own games I like. If I had to say the most rare/valuable thing I own, I guess it'll be my Super Famicom with the Rockman X-X3 + 7 games.

Although my favourite items, have to be my Sonic collection for the Megadrive and I guess Conkers Bad Fur Day, complete, 'cause that's so my favourite game of all time.

Favourite Item - Probably my battered old yellowed SNES which had been with me through a lot.

Rarest Item - Probably one of the DC indie games I've got - Last Hope Limited Edition or one of the first 100 preorder edition of DUX

This thing, which I still somehow have in my room for reasons completely unclear to me, It plays a horribly out of tune MIDI rendition of Sonic Boom, the American theme song to Sonic CD.

I also have this, which I use to store some of my random old junk. I found it in a thrift store once, and I have no clue who made it or when.
