These are the names of the games that I like based on the name only. They have nothing to do with the actual game itself

METROID! As soon as I hear it, I picture a badass robot of the future

GALAGA! Sounds like it would be a very complicated but great foreign game

TIMEKILLERS! I always liked this name. It sounds like a game that I'd want to play

BLOODSTORM! I think of mass destruction and total chaos. Sounds awesome

LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME: Sounds like an instant classic

Thingy and the doodahs
Thing on a spring
Revenge of the mutant camels

Must take them weeks to come up with these names, bless 'em.

My fave character name from a game is Dash Render from Shadows of the Empire. Well funny. Also named my cat after a game character... Sparkster. Also - irrelavent - had a cat called Davros...true.

NODES OF YESOD needs a mention
Dark, foreboding and charmingly cynical

I recently picked up a Japanese MSX game whose name loosely translates as Tomboyish Becky's Large Adventure!

Another one is the PC-Engine game Hana Taka Daka!? which translates as Super Long Nosed Goblin - that's good in both languages! :D

It would have been even better if they'd have kept the prototype name: Foot and Mouth - but I wonder how that would've gone down now.

Another favourite of mine is Rez - by just the name alone, nobody has a clue what it's about.

Or you could use the Videogame Name Generator to come up with your own.

I think my best one so far has got to be: Britney Spears - Motocross Interceptor.

Occasionally NSFW.
