I have to say Saturn. It always has and always will sound futuristic and mysterious to me.

I was tempted to vote 'other', but as its consoles I picked one off the list.

Given some expansion, I'd say Spectrum was a brilliant name.

Famicom - Horrible.
NES - even more horrible.
SNES - sounds like a sneeze and worse than the two above.
Master System - Don't like this either.
Mega Drive - Sounds childish.
Genesis - I like this one.
Saturn - This is what I voted for. Sounds good.
Dreamcast - Not bad either.
N64 - They copied off Commodore's C64.
Playstation - A bit silly really.
Gamecube - A bit daft, but not bad I suppose.
Xbox - Crap, and 360 is worse.

"Revolution" was quite good. Shame they got rid of it...

Short answer: Saturn.

I like the name Famicom, it completely captured what the console was all about. Unlike NES.

Hey???? They got rid of Revolution? What's it being called now?

I agree that NES and SNES are horrible. My vote goes to Saturn (its my fav planet) and Dreamcast (such a cool word to say).

I hope Sony start being more creative with their names. Playstation, thats ok. Playstation 2 - ok, but a getting old now. Playstation3 - Oh for ^&%* sakes!!!!!! Is that the best you can come up with? What's next, Playstation 4!!!!

Expect that the GameCube isn't really a TRUE Cube shaped device unless a Game Boy Player is attached.

I'd say Genesis was the best name, as it symbolised the begining of the 16-bit golden era of console gaming.
