Your top five systems?

Post by nesmaster » Sat Oct 04, 2008 5:43 pm

This includes consoles, handhelds and computers.
Here goes:

1. NES
Fave game: Super Mario Bros 3
Least fave game: Dragons Lair

Fave game: Zelda A Link To The Past
Least fave game: Zoop

3. Mega Drive
Fave game: Streets Of Rage 2
Least fave game: Batman Forever

4. N64
Fave game: Mario Tennis
Least fave game: Hexen

5. Game Boy
Fave game: Mega Man 2
Least fave game: Prince Valiant

Deciding between the MD and SNES was really hard and the number five spot could have gone to the 360/SMS/Neo-Geo. A really tough list.

1. Amiga.
2. C64.
3. Playstation (all of them, but if I can only have one then the PS3, as it can play most of the other games as well).
4. Vic-20
5. Commodore Pet

Depending on the day of the week, this could change.

1. Amiga

Favourite game : So many to choose from, but I well say for the sake of argument The Chaos Engine.

Worst Game : Space Gun. I only got this game as it was a free game at a computer show. A rubbish Operation Wolf type game set in space.

2. PC (maybe the 486, MS-DOS 6.22 era)

Favourite game : A lot to choose from in this time period, but I will go for Tie Fighter.

Worst Game : I didn't like the port of Xenon 2 for the PC.

3. C64

Favourite Game : Elite. This system introduced me to this great game.

Worst Game : A View to a Kill. A cr*p game from start to finish.

Favourite Game : Street Fighter II. I don't really have that much experience with the SNES, but this game (which is a brilliant arcade conversion) and Mario Kart are superb.

Worst Game : Star Fox. I wasn't that keen on this game. Seemed a bit gimmicky.

5. Spectrum

Favourite Game : Bubble Bobble. A good conversion and great fun in two player.

Worst game : Chucky Egg. I could never take to this game.

1. x360 - cod2 introduced me to online gaming
worst game - any footie game or GTA4/Halo3 Hype over gameplay

2. Spectrum 48k -
fave game - target renegade - worst game = any footie manager types

3. 3DO - fave game - Return fire - least fave game - Doom (a small screen travesty)

4. Gamecube- fave game resident evil or Zero least fave Im trying to get into The windwaker Zelda and im struggling - not a bad bad game just daunting to sit and play for a long time (like oblivion on 360)

5. Mega Drive - fave game Streets of rage2 the first 2 player game I genuinly relished. Least fave game - sports sims.

If we have any more of these lists Jimmy Carr will end up as moderator. The urge is too strong though:

1) Saturn
2) Dreamcast
3) Spectrum 48k
4) Gamecube
5) PS1

Xbox360 is very close to making it.
