I'm going to have to go with Outrun too. Maybe Mortal Kombat.
To balance that, the least disappointing one was wire frame version of Star Wars.

Street Fighter was amazing! Whacking the punch button as hard as you could was just fun, it's Street Fighter 2 that sucked arse.

Another vote for Robotron 2084.

How many people nominating Robotron played the original twin-stick arcade version?

Tempest and Q-Bert for me.
Out Run, Frogger etc you have to appreciate what they were like when they first came out. I mean to me Pac Man and Space Invaders are boring but i love giving them a quick go to bring back the memories, again when they first came out they were superb.

Without a doubt it has to be Q-Bert! I tried and tried to like this when it came out, and through the years I've tried every version of it thinking it would be playable, but nope! It's a terrible classic!

Blasphemers!!! (god knows how you spell it!)......
How very dare you!
For me though, I have tried and tried and tried to see what is so great about it, but I just dont understand the love for Robotron!

Probably Golden Axe. It's quite fun in two-player mode but in one-player it's just a string of tedious fights without any serious threat of being overwhelmed for a long time and therefore no real need to try too hard. It's always a bad sign when I start to wish a game would try harder against me and Golden Axe does that.
Bionic Commando is also a bit poo - I just find it lacks an element of skill and seems designed to make sure you get killed fairly regularly and have to keep putting coins in. Preferred the Speccy version.

Dragon's Lair - Quite a nifty technical achievement, and some good animation in parts too, but completely lacking when it comes to gameplay.
