What IS your favourite? Something a bit out in leftfield, a bit contreversial?
I dont have a perticular favourite. Tumblepop, Wrestlefest, super sidekicks etc. Fairly mainstream really.
Oh, and that thing with the big yellow bike you have to pedal to guide your man into those balloons. Only because a firend of mine was playing it when he'd had a few and was so drunk he fell off and had to have an x-ray because he thought he'd broken something

That's Namco's 'Prop Cycle', one of my faves

Time has been very unkind to Pit-Fighter.
Pumped a small fortune into that as a kid, but sweet jesus it's a bad game.
Here's some cats among the pigeons though. I never liked:
Missile Command
Galaga
Crystal Castles
720
Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man

Never got the fuss about Missile Command, but after I first played Galaxian I couldn't get into Galaga at all. It just felt wrong.
Pit Fighter's one of those cabs that seemed to be absolutely everywhere back in the day. It seemed to be the default "not a racer, not a shooter" game that places seemed to latch on to for ages, even long after SFII had come along. And as I wasn't particularly into racers or shooters, that's where my money would go.

I'm with you on Misslle Command. Never liked it.
But Galaga? The most played XBLA game on my 360. It is stunning.

I went from being a huge fan of Galaxian and not paying any attention to Galaga then one day I just flip-flopped and now Galaga is one of my real favourites and is the arcade game I return to most. I played the GB Galaxian/Galaga twin pack version compulsively on a flight from India to the UK to the point where I'm sure the woman in the seat next to time started to suspect I had OCD or similar.

For me it's shocking that any of those would be on a"most overrated" list. not just specifically Galaga.

I’d say Galga and Street Fighter. I thought Glaxian looked and played so much better than Galga. Street fighter I just couldn’t get into.

Even 720? That was never a particularly good game. Only thing that ever brings a smile to my face while playing it is the 'Skate or DIE!' soundbite, then watching the skateboarder be murdered by killer bees

The actual game itself is a bit crap.

720 has a great soundtrack tho

I never really got on well with the arcade game but the Speccy conversion was well addictive back in the day.

Now that I'll agree with. I had much more fun playing the Speccy version than the arcade version. Same goes for Paperboy and Spy Hunter too...played them on the Speccy a lot but really don't like the arcade versions beyond their music. Some games seem to work a lot better when they're simplified/watered down a bit.

I agree. When I was, mmm... possibly 10 years old? I made this costume for a party:
Waka-waka!
Obviously none of my friends (not mentioning their parents) understood what I was dressed like. So much for videogame fame in Italy in the early eighties.
