For me that would be Rise of the Robots.

God, was that game pants. Ended up having an argument where I bought it from when I tried to return it.

After enjoying Valhalla from Legend.
I bought their next title.
"The Great Space Race". Slow bug ridden mess
with very little to do.
God it was awful and also paid £15 for the privilage.
Nice packaging though !!!

Probably Sanxion. The music almost made up for it, but I didn't like the game much.

Into the Eagles Nest for Amiga.
Zzap! (italian version) gave it a Silver Medal. I was somewhat intrigued by the gauntlet style and the setting.
When I tried the game, I discovered how 10 tons of garbage could be shrinked to fit a 3.5" disk.

It's rare that I pay a fairly high price for a game without researching it a bit first.

However, I researched Call of Duty 3, looked great, critics liked it, bought it for £39.99 and it was rubbish. A lot of people I know like the game but..for some reason I hate it.

The day I played it was the day I stopped buying Official Xbox 360 Magazine - they gave it 9/10!

By the way Blinko, Karl Pilkington is AMAZING! :D

Captain America and the Avengers on SNES for £40.

Loved it in the arcade, enjoyed it on my mate's Mega Drive, but the SNES version was an almost unplayable abomination :(

Superbowl on the Speccy, love american footy but after months of waiting this was a buggy mess.

Controversial one - Jet Set Willy II - Loved the original and it was my fault for not knowing it was the same game with extra rooms bolted on, bought this game and was so disappointed.

Double Dragon - Speccy - One of the games which started turning me towards the Amiga, loved the arcade game but try as i might i just couldnt stand the Speccy version sadly

Rick Dangerous on Atari ST for £20 from Chips in Darlington, thought it was great for half an hour then realised the game was nails and could just about scrape to the second level after dozens of attempts.

Spectrum: saved all my pocket money to buy Ocean's Transformers...'nuff said

megacd: remember reading a lot of good things about Texas Ground Zero and spending 30 odd quid on it. Played it and thought: is that it?

Mario Kart on the Wii, that's next on the trade in list.
