Post by SirClive » Tue Sep 23, 2008 6:24 pm

In Episode 10 of WGTV Opa takes a look at the Neo-Geo MVS and tries to explain why its ideal for the first time arcade cab owner. SirClive continues his trip through time looking at TV based games, this time digging up 3 games from 1980's shows and Bootfair Regulars makes a welcome return with big box of master systems goodies.

As always you can download the show from our website (click on my signature banner and follow the Episode 10 links).

The online streaming version is available here - http://weekend-gamer.co.uk/forum/viewto ... f=23&t=492

Enjoy and let us know what you think.

I greatly enjoyed the first series of WGTV on DVD and am eager to watch this episode, and indeed the preceeding few, but I'd rather wait until series two is available on DVD? Any idea when that will be? I understand you will need to make 2 more episodes yet! :P

The plan is to have the series 2 DVD ready for the Byte Back event. So there is 6 months or so yet. We have our secret project to complete before we start putting show 11 together.

We also hope to have a new audio show out at some point.

We do have a bit to do before the next DVD is released, the secret project is now 60% done and an audio show is coming along slowly :)

If you can't be downloading the show the on-line streaming version should be up in a few days but the quality suffers a bit there so best to download it if you can.

Yes, it is a 1 gig download so people with a slow connection may be better with the online version.

Am uploading it now. Should be available in the morning. I am quite hopeful that the quality video/sound quality is still good.

What do people think of having a .flv file made available for download as well as the .avi? It needs an FLV player to watch it but it is good quality for half the file size.

I'd be quite happy to have a .flv file, unless it's via a torrent I've not got much chance of getting a gig downloaded.

Why..?

I can upload a lower quality file for those people who really don't want to download a gig in one go...

I don't really want to be uploading queer file formats that you need special players to get to work though...

The point is that I have to produce an FLV file anyway to make the streaming version and it is easily comparable in quality to the AVI.

I have now uploaded the show so anyone wanting to see it online then go here - http://weekend-gamer.co.uk/forum/viewto ... f=23&t=492

The sound quality is a bit muffly due to the video hosts conversion process. Hopefully I can improve that for the next show.

It is likely that your download timed out. Check the filesize and if it aint a gig then you don't have the full thing.

Best episode so far!! I really enjoyed the Neo-Geo MVS review. I didn't know that the Master System 1 had an RGB port since i have only owned a Master System II.

Good work guys :)
