Just whizzed through Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty. It wasn't bad, considering it's only really a 'filler' game inbetween Tools Of Destruction and A Crack In Time, but really suffered from having pretty much no exploration whatsoever and areas being very small and just a case of 'Get from A-B and kill a few enemies'....it felt at times like Ratchet: Gladiator, and I was never very fond of that. Storyline was entertaining though, one or two nice (albiet easy) puzzles with a couple of nods to The Goonies even.

Dark Souls. I dont think I have ever enjoyed a game as much as this. I've got stuck straight back in to it on NG+. The platinum trophy will be mine!

Already have done, picked it last month (£7)....it's now in my extensive 'to play' pileRayne wrote:Killzone 3 really improves on the 2nd - wider variety of environments, special levels with mechs, etc etc. It's only about £8 pre-owned and well worth tracking down if you enjoyed the 2nd

Think you have to go through it 3 more times to get the platinum, is it worth your sanity? Considering its practically impossible to do fatty and thinny bosses in + mode, I wish you all the luck in the world!!crusto wrote:Dark Souls. I dont think I have ever enjoyed a game as much as this. GTA III for the iPad. Excellent game even today, while it lacks some of the cool side stuff and refinements that later gta games had its still one of my favourites in the series, especially chatterbox which is still my favourite radio station in a game that's not v rock.
The iPad port is fantastic, it seems to run better than the ps2 version frame rate wise? The controls were perfectly responsive and after about 10 minutes I was driving round the city with no problems what so ever, ieven managed to finally clear the last level without cheating (something I never managed to do on the ps2 version all those years back.)

Finally finished Rage.
Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week
Well, so far so good. Im only a couple of hours or so into the new game and have killed 4 boss characters, the red dragon, Havel the rock and whatever black knights I can find. Very easy so far. The Darkroot garden is more difficult so Im having to grind up a bit, but its no where near as difficult as I feared (yet).RichL wrote:Think you have to go through it 3 more times to get the platinum, is it worth your sanity? Completed Medal of Honour Underground for the PS1 last night, something I never managed years ago. The last 3 levels with the dogs, zombies and robots were really weird for a WWII FPS but overall it was a great game. That's both PS1 MoH games down now and I have to say that I enjoyed them a hell of a lot more than some modern FPS's.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

I loved them on PS1, really well designed shooters that still play well now.

Enslaved on 360. Very enjoyable realy, mostly for the characters and story. Bright colours too
Gameplay was a bit dull but they had the right idea, combat was too simple and the camera was a bit wonky.
