Having just got a PS4 going through some of the PS3 games I never got round to finishing but getting them out of the way before buying new stuff and first done is Brutal Legend. Actually really enjoyed it and will probably do a little more of the "clean up" trophies and explore more of the world as I chose to just rush through the end to get it done but a few of the sub mission challenges shouldn't be a problem to do. Won't play through it again but decent enough story with some big feeling set pieces, lots of humour and a great soundtrack!

Twinbee Da on the PSP Twinbee collection. On my first ever try, too.

The opportunity to play Twinbee games on the go was too good to miss. It's just a shame I had to wait almost a month for itvto arrive.

Batman Arkham Asylum venom Joker was the biggest boss anti climax ever! You don't even fight him just run from him and fight normal goons in between

Well, one game from my retro challenge is done and dusted already. I managed to beat Alleyway at long last. I know a lot of people dislike it orcare indifferent at best, but I think it is a solid breakout clone. Yes, it lacks the power-upscwe expect in the post-Arkanoid age, but I really don't think the game needs them. The sequences of moving blocks keep things interesting enough, especially in the final few levels.
So that's one down, nine to go. I suspect this challenge will prove pretty easy.

Master of Darkness (Sega Master System)

Such a great castlevania tribute/ripoff which it was a shame that they never made a sequel of. It's a little on the easy side and can be easily completed in one sitting but the pure gameplay and classic horror references make it stand out as a must have Master System game in my opinion.

Making the Forgotten Kingdom bought this for £5 as it was a Bandai game and I it's my game of Last Year can't believe how much I enjoyed it.. Like Ico but 'Yorda' is replaced with the Majin a talking monster thing like the Frankenstein Monster as in it wants friends but us shunned because of its looks and they throw stones at him.. Majin makes friends with Princess (last human who's not become a Monster)who is then forced to turn her to Crystal as she fails to stop the Darkness spreading and have his powers removed.. Your character can talk to animals and is the only human still not corrupted by the Darkness, and kind of lonely being parrots and mice being the only things that talk to you.. As well as the bosses who where once Royal a Family who had been corrupted by powers and turned into monsters.. The more powers you unlock allows progression opening up more of the city..

Very satisfying boss fight particularly the last boss fight that is in several parts from breaking the Princess out her crystal to a risqué giant female monster last boss

Blackwell Convergence and Deception, just finished up the last two Blackwell games and enjoyed them both, carried on the great story line and offered some good puzzles that vastly improved upon the other games. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next Blackwell title.
