I don't really get Gears of War, on a technical front its fun to play but it just has none of the charm or excitement of it's fellow competitors (Halo, Crysis, etc etc)
Same here...completed them all but just didn't emotionally get engaged at all...I couldn't even be arsed to review the second and third games.
I'm the exact opposite, I loved the first Gears, but the second one was sooo dull. Too many vehicle sections and not enough of what makes Gears great - simple, cover based, combat set pieces. As for getting emotionally involved, I totally agree. The big emotional climax of the second game left me totally cold. I really couldn't give a crap. The story is an utter mess and the characters are just uninteresting. If you're going to throw stupid emotional cutscenes at me, at least make me care about the characters.

Donkey Kong country 3, super star wars and super meat boy in one week!

So proud of them all. I must be getting better with age. I could never do super star wars. DK country 3 was the best though.
Please look at my Ebay shop. Specialising in Japanese retro games as well as PAL. All carts cleaned. Always the cheapest too!

I finished Jeanne D'Arc (PSP) while i was on holiday.

Simply the most fun i've had from a turn based strategy game in a long, long time. It's now nestled in my all time no.1 slot. :D

The story was fantastic, managing to shoe-horn fantasy into the Joan of Arc legend without destroying it entirely. The characters were (mostly) believable, the anime cutscenes well worth watching more than once, the skill binding elements worth delving into. The overall art style really floated my boat and level design was interesting and not too 'samey'.

The only slight downside that i noticed was the 'shopping for new gear' element, that almost all turn-based RPG's have, was pretty much superfluous. There were minimal amounts of new items to be bought.....most decent weapons/armour gained from defeating some of the larger enemies. This is a small gripe though, as the skill binding was much more fun than shopping anyway.

Even though Gilvaroth has been slain, i clearly have more to do, as Jeanne's armlet (which can hold up to 5 gems) still has two missing. I want to see everything this game has to offer, before i consider it done.

Highly recommended. Go play it. 8)

Blasted through Assignment Ada in RE4 Wii Edition last night. Found it a lot easier and quicker to get through than I did back in the Gamecube days with my only death coming during the Krauser battle when I forgot he attacks from behind  . A lot of fun though all the same.

Gonna start Separate Ways next as I have never played this bonus mode before so it should be interesting.

Sounds right up my street - its agame I wanted for the PSP back in the day when it first came out. It never got a PAL release, did it? I always meant to import it, but alas, I never got round to getting it.

So I'll take your recommendation and go buy it, if you take mine to pick up Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes on the DS :D

^^ Both quality games. Jeanne D'arc is probably my fave game on the system.

Done! I will make sure that's the next DS game i buy. I don't know if Jeanne D'Arc was released in PAL land if i'm honest, but yes, mine's an american copy. :)

Me and buddy sat through and played the whole of the translated version of Clock Tower for the Super Famicom. We got ending C, but it is definitely a great game to play with someone else as you can work out all the puzzles and help each other out when nasty young Bobby pops out.

After you telling me how much you where enjoying it; I started playing through my spare copy and I'm hooked again.. After my PSP breaking and losing my save really far into the game, not sure if I could play through a RPG again.. But its still an absolutely awesome game, equally as good if not better then I remember.. Isn't 'Gilvaroth that thing that John of Lancaster/ 'Bradford summons to inhabit child kings Henrys body? The Frog has started talking to 'Leanne' and combining the crystals for her, but he's not told her who he is yet  I got to where Talbet been replaced by the 3 Island of Dr Morau Rejects.. I assume Bradford isn't the last boss as I remember you telling me you beat him easy when you fought him

Can Giles armlet be leveled up, though one of the better Characters his Transformation isn't as powerfull as Jeanne's? I've given Giles and Jean the Shallow Dive that makes them a lot more powered up.. Also can Rose use Armlets as well I remember her being stupidly overpowered and being able to attack diagonally not got to her yet.. The other Character you get for choosing the other route is useless..

I managed to get that Namco RPG you where after £5 will shoot you a pm

Thanks for making me spend more money guys (just ordered myself a copy of Jeanne D'Arc)

In fairness, it had been on my PSP hit list for a while but I'd just not got round to picking it up. This is why I like this forum: some nice positive discussion on a game than genuinely encourages others to get involved.

Perfect Dark Zero which I bought back in 2007 and has been sitting in my collection ever since. Theantmeister kept telling me how crap it is but as he doesn't like Halo I figured I'd give it a shot, and I enjoyed it dammit! (even if you can't jump and the campaign side felt a little short)

Just finished up Original GameBoy Castlevania II: Belmonts Revenge.
