PES 2009 or FIFA 09?

Short of an astonishing PES09 demo today (if it actually turns up on 360), I'm getting this tomorrow, the first time I've bought either of these on launch day ever.

I've actually got to walk past the local indie to get to the garage where my car is being MOT'd today, maybe they'll have pulled a street date sneaky.

Im a FIFA man me, Pro evo is ok but for me its the licensed teams that appeal to me, and I know PES has some licensed teams, but I support Chesterfield and I dont think they'll be on PES anytime soon.

It's weird that people complain about the lack of licensed teams in PES as (online at least) there only seems to be 4 (Inter, Man U, Barcelona & Brazil)

Anyway I'd automatically pick PES but after 2008 I'm none the wiser.
Apart from the Megadrive version I've never bought a FIFA since.

Online all the top players use Inter Barca or Brazil... I use Man U, England or sometimes Spain and Liverpool. I'm going to have a try with Chelski for a bit to see if they can "stop" the top teams playing...

I get a FIFA occasionally, when it's out of date and cheap, last one was 07 on PS2, think I used it once...

Now that the PES demo is out, I'm actually gonna give FIFA another go to try and make out what all the fuss is about.

Really? It's turned me right off. It's so clunky and lifeless. It feels like a PS2 game, like PES4... Fifa moved on, it seems PES forgot to.

I do appreciate that both have been smart enough this year to offer 100% configurable controls, allows people to swap either way.

Fifa 09 still plays like a game closely related to football , PES plays like a game of football , id rather have a decent game than all the licensed teams in the world.

Its the only way to compare fifa09 and pes2009 so far , but to compare a demo with a full release isn't right.
