Fighting Warrior?

This game came out in 1985.

I had the Spectrum version of this game and a Classic it is.

The dragon type person was my favourite baddie character that I liked fighting against.

I have it on a Boots C15. Not bad, it kept me happy for a bit. I'd rather play Way of teh Tiger for that sort of game on Speccy though.

It was no match for WOTEF, sure enough, but then its a slightly different genre.

Yeah I loved this game - quite a strange mix of faux-Egyptian mythology and wandering/fighting style.

Seemed be derivative of (or source material for) games like Way of the Tiger, Barbarian 2 and Fist 2. Nice little game, not very well remembered by most I bet...

Yep, nice game this. Great animation but fighting those big winged beasties could be pretty tough.

Meh. Didn't think much of it. I agree with Antiriad about Way Of The Tiger doing it better.

Was the same programmer(s) also responsible for Legend Of The Amazon Women? I seem to recall that being a remarkably similar game to Fighting Warrior.

For a moment, that picture looked like he was going to hit that monster with a shovel. The story of Moses and the Exodus with a little twist.

" ...And Lo, the children of Israel rose up, and tw*tted Pharaohs green monster with a shovel. Then pegged it for the Red sea..."

I bought this and was pretty disappointed. The concept sounded great - Way of the Exploding Fist, but with scrolling and multiple enemies. I haven't played this in many many years, but I recall it being very dull, with lots of walking and not much fighting. A missed opportunity.
